Not to hijack your thread, but has anyone driven both the base and performance dual motors? I’ve driven the performance and that’s what I’m planning to order, but the base has me curious. Is the difference dramatic?

Does this widget actually work, or is it like the Tesla widget that looks nearly identical to this. Hitting any button on it opens the Tesla app, so I find it pointless and annoying.

How does the Rivian reservation process work? I'm planning to buy an R1 this summer so wont be interested in an R2 for long after it launches, but could be very interested in downsizing in 3-4 years. Can I put down a deposit and just sit on it as long as I want?
