To let you skip the long review: if you have any Rivian SW issues and bugs…. You don’t know how good you got it . Fisker: a sea of bugs, non operable features, and a UI from super Mario brothers. Reviewer liked the interior , I kept thinking it needs more for 75k, exterior good

As an owner, yeah, there are definitely some software issues. Rivian had quite some problems super early on as well. Most of the glaring ones were fixed in the first several months.

But to call it the worst car he's ever driven means he really hasn't driven many cars.

He’s driven a fair amount of EVs, but he’s a tech reviewer primarily. Also owns a Rivian.

Oof. I am rooting for them. I hope they can get it figured out.

He hasn’t driven many crappy cars, but he’s driven quite a few. He owns and reviews a lot of very high end stuff so the Fisker is probably punching out of its weight class regardless. He just bought a 911 Turbo S, for example. Not much is gonna compare favorably to that.

I'd suggest anyone who is actually interested in the vehicle to watch this rebuttal to MKBHD's review. He's probably a little overly defensive and dismissive about software issues, but it does sound like the other vehicle probably was behind on software updates. Only thing I don't agree with is the complaint about the display switch between regen and power on, as if you're trying to coast instead of going into regen, it can kind of flap back and forth. I do find that to be slightly distracting.

To be fair, he did say that the fundamentals are good. I would miss not having a frunk though.

Fun fact, he hasn't. Didn't even have a license until later in life.

He is usually fairly forgiving of idiosyncrasies and minor glitches. Sounds like the software is relatively crappy. He drove an early release Rivian also and didn’t say its software was utter crap. At end of video he said he hoped they worked things out and he said he was rooting for them. I’ve found his reviews to be decent.

He’s fantastic. The software just sucks. This is not limited to upstart EV makers though. I had a Range Rover Velar that I preordered when they were first announced and had a very early build…the software was an absolute joke and stayed that way halfway through ownership…AND I had to bring it in to the dealer to have it updated constantly. At least Fisker should be able to keep pushing out updates.

The interior was made for easy recycling. So it doesn't have the shiny coatings most plastics and fabrics have. So brand new it looks 10 years old.

I just wish it had grab handles.
