Yeah I think so. The R1T was always bigger than I prefer. The R2 is what drew me to Rivian, but then I got so into the company I had to have one asap. The 3 row R1S felt a bit too over the top for a single guy living downtown, so went with the T. I donāt have a big need for the truck though...
I was thinking theyāre gonna rebrand the R1 lineup too. Makes a lot of sense to keep distinct trims with specific accent colors related to performance/hierarchy rather than just number of motors.
I too want an R2 Tri, but Iām prob gonna settle for the Performance unless they launch the Tri by...
Everyone has different needs so I understand thinking that.
I personally donāt care about range too much since I live downtown, work mostly remote, and have a charger at home. AND I donāt like long roadtrips. Short weekend trips are fun but Iāve never felt I needed more than 300ish miles of...
The initial show car with the slate sky interior had more of an Ascent level trim, with leatherette + stitching on the airbag cover and some other slightly more premium details. Unsure if they plan to bring a premium interior + more colors as an option down the roadā¦or decided it was overkill in...
Lucid is so frustrating. Exceedingly cool cars but meh company. Interior looks nice though.
I'm all in on R2 though. This looks like another wagon, minivan shaped thing like Gravity and I'm bored of those.
You can adjust the intensity in the R1; From subtle to relatively bright. But yes, itās more of an accent vs obvious, exposed light strips being part of the aesthetic.
Same!
Im not someone that avoids colorā¦ive had 2 red cars before. But I really like the modern elegance of Limestone. Sad they canned it And kept the more standard looking silver and gray.
I donāt know what youāre looking at. Thereās a silver and a darker gray. Thatās it. White and black donāt count as gray.
These are the colors most people want. The masses donāt want yellow or neon blue.
Having two greens, a purple, and what appears to be a dark teal at launch is way more...
They may.
R1S Dual is $77k and Dual (not standard) is $84k. Maybe by simplifying production and ditching the LFP model they can price the Dual around $80k. It really depends on whether or not they plan to let R1 stagnate as an expensive niche model like Tesla did with the S/X, or if they want...
Yep. R2 Tri is gonna be a low volume insane trim making 800+ hp and will most certainly be $70k+ ā¦and worth every penny.
The Standard, Dual and Dual Performance compete with the Model Y line and will be $45-60k. I still expect the launch edition to be around $60k and loaded, with a $50k(ish)...
Agree. I had a Cayenne S e-hybrid for a loaner for over a month like 5 years ago when a Porsche I had was in for a big engine issue. While it was a great car, I couldnāt understand why people would want one. When in EV mode, which is preferred around town, youāre getting crap power from a tiny...
