  1. Run high power 12v off jumper cables?

It would be unusual to have a diode in the jumper cables. Should work both ways. Also, the 12v bms should keep the battery charged.
  2. Rivian Update 2023.30.00 - One-Touch Garage Door Opener, Nav Enhancements, Text Address Sharing From Phone To Vehicle, EVgo Autocharge+ Support & More

Legacy auto is reluctant to outsource any more software. They've been burned. AA/CP gives tech companies access and control of valuable data and control of the car. That's why Tesla did their own.
  3. Is the Rivian-branded Level 2 charger the best available for home charging?

Blast from the past. I have an OpenEVSE that I built from a kit about 8 years ago. Mounted outside house before I built garages. Still works and I use it occasionally. (But not this Spring since the Bluejays were using it as a nesting site.) New ones Connect to charging network or Home...

  5. Rivian Update 2023.30.00 - One-Touch Garage Door Opener, Nav Enhancements, Text Address Sharing From Phone To Vehicle, EVgo Autocharge+ Support & More

My Teslas have automatic open/close. Seems like a no brainer. I never have to press any buttons. Garage door opens when I pull into the driveway and closes as I leave. Patience grasshopper.

I wouldn't pay much attention to the Wall Street analysts. They are generally clueless and have a herd mentality. I've followed Tesla stock for a long time and the analysts have been wrong most of the time. RIVN is still in a fragile startup phase. Things are looking good but they are still...

  10. Today at Wawa ....

Went to university in Philadelphia. Didn't venture out of the university cocoon so not much exposure to the native culture but I was not impressed.
  11. EV's more expensive to charge than ICE Counterparts?

Yes, mostly diy. Much cheaper. Also, some surplus panels. All are fixed ground arrays. Lot of tree shading so challenging.
  12. EV's more expensive to charge than ICE Counterparts?

My solar PV system paid for itself in 6 years. I now have free electricity. Net metering allows me to use the grid for free storage until I need the power. I don't get paid for yearly excess but come out about even.
  13. Munro Live with RJ on new Dual Motor

The dual switches off the rear motor automatically when it's not needed and on when needed. The quad in conserve switches off the rear motors but they don't come back on when you need the extra power.
