It's not you. 2023 Dual Large here and after a road trip this weekend I definitely notice a clunk when the rear motor engages. Seems like the rear is engaging a lot more frequently, but that might be because I was paying more attention to it after feeling the clunk.
I was a Nov 23 purchaser and thought I'd been skipped. I did a search in my email and found that I'd simply missed the 2nd notification. I called and they got me back in. Had my adapter within 2 weeks.
Wow, this got out of hand quick. Didn't know I'd get 3 pages of responses!
Nowhere in my original post did I mention a subpanel.
I am running 6-3 Romex to a shutoff in the garage
6AWG THHN in conduit from shutoff to Charger
It'll all be hooked to a 50 amp breaker
I will charge at 40 amps.
Thanks...
Thanks everybody.
Wire needs to be snaked through multiple walls and ceilings and I'm trying to cut as few holes in the sheetrock as possible. so will probably stick with the Romex. I'll suggest 6-2 over 6-3 because I'm guessing it smaller and tighter bending.
40 amps is fine. I just figured why...
I just moved into a new house. My previous house had a shed where I ran #6 THHN in conduit from the panel to the charger and charged at 48 amps on a 60 amp breaker. It was easy because it was all exterior conduit runs.
This house is considerably more difficult, because the panel is on the...
I'm a Nov '23 R1T and haven't gotten mine either. I talked to CS and they don't have a clue. They just say "the good news is that everyone should have one by the end of Jan".
Kind of annoying to see people who just got their vehicle last month already getting their adapters.
Does every "Auto" make the wipers cycle once when you turn the car on every time? That always seems like it's smearing everything on my glass and prematurely wearing out my blades.
Not sure what to tell you, but bluetooth DEFINITELY sounds worse in all circumstances I've tested. Unquestionably on my R1T. I can stream a song through Spotify and then play a quality ripped version (not lossless) from my phone and there is a noticeable difference. BT does not sound good...
I've had a dual motor Gen 1 R1T for a year now and I don't think I've ever seen that message. I know that it's frequently in 2 WD mode just from the wheels graphic though.
As said above, it starts out in AWD but drops the rear wheels quickly unless it senses loss of traction. You can also drop...
Thanks for all the info Mark.
If you were to advise someone purchasing a single puck, simply for roadside emergency, would you say regular sized or XL? XL looks a little unwieldy if it's on uneven ground? Seems like carrying a chunk or 2 of 2x6 for the small base of a bottle jack might be...
Sorry, no idea how to help. I'm just chiming in here that the Tune-In app for Rivian blows all around, just in case someone with some clout ever reads this.
The lousy implementation of all the music apps, and seemingly no intention to improve them is what has held me back from any C+...
Soft reset. My truck has been intermittently losing sound. Happens every 2 weeks. On multiple sources, music shows it is playing but no sound. Soft reset always fixes it. Easy, but annoying.
Just went to cancel today and the "Subscription Settings" page is once again blank.
I'd love to keep TuneIn. Too bad the Rivian app sucks. Really, it's too bad all the Rivian music apps suck. I'd be happy to pay $15/ mo for C+, but not for this experience.
FTR, I didn't mean this as a scold on not searching. Only pointing out that there are a LOT of us pissed off about this "feature" and you should complain.
There are multiple threads about this. It was done to all Dual models in a pretty underhanded way - no announcements, they just snuck it in to the software and a blurb in the owner's manual.
If you don't like it, put a complaint in with customer service. Maybe if enough people do this, they'll...
Ummm, yeah, that should work.
Or loop the cable 2 then loop cable 1 through the cable 2's end and plug in cable 1
What do you want to test?
Though, let's face it, the cable is a deterrent from anyone just looking to grab and go. If someone really wants your stuff and has some simple tools...
It's not a bug. It's now mentioned in the owner's manual as doing this on purpose. When I complained to CS about it, the reply was "We're sorry you don't like this FEATURE. A "feature" that they implemented in an update with zero notice to anyone about it.
That's my DT too. they've always been pretty good to me and know the Rivian protocol (at least for rotations). Maybe I should be able to tell this based on your description, but are they the LT or SL version? Mind if I asked what they ran you?
