I am curious as well. First I had ever heard of Driveway. Their offer was $6000 more then Carvana. Unfortunately, I don’t have a trade in value yet from Rivian as I haven’t started the 8 step process yet.
You are asking a valid question. I am giving up my Model Y for the R1T and had some of the same concerns. For me the higher stance and utility of a truck (we have 3 Australian Shepherds) will be a big plus. Not to mention the R1T is just cool all the way around. It will take some time, but...
So far my guide has been great. We spent an hour on the phone at our initial call and I got to learn about his passion for sustainability, which is the career I am in. He’s been responsive via email as I have asked some questions and added a few items (spare tire and all-weather floor mats). I...
I'm in the same boat with you in regards to not being able to get homeowners insurance quoted through Nationwide due to the area I live in which is considered by some insurance companies as a high fire hazard area.
I've had two calls with Kim from Rivian Insurance and she's been great. Very...
My order info is also in my signature. After my guide call on 4/22 and signing the PBA, I was told 4 - 8 weeks for delivery but it is possible it could be sooner. Patiently waiting… or at least trying to be patient.
Honestly I don’t pay attention because it is so subjective to driving and other conditions. I have the Long Range version so I should get around 318 miles with the 20” wheels.
From what I was told, it doesn't sound like it will change my delivery timing, but I have a fairly standard configuration on order. (LE - LG, BM, w/ 22" wheels).
Thanks for the report. (I'm eagerly awaiting my R1T). I live in San Diego and do go to LA periodically. So it didn't force you to stop and charge along the way? I usually have to stop on my way back in my Model Y to charge up a bit.
It sounds like depending on where you are test drives may or may not happen before you actual get your R1. My guide mentioned they are prioritizing vehicles to go to purchasers versus more availability of test drives. I would like to test drive it before I purchase it but at this post after all...
My guide did mention yesterday that the auto email from them usually goes out 24 hours after they are assigned which may explain why you haven’t gotten an email. I managed to contact my guide before the auto email went out introducing him.
I emailed my guide this morning and he called me 10 minutes later. We had a great hour long conversation and I signed my PBA during the call after we reviewed my configuration and accessories. He quoted me a 4-8 week lead time with the possibility of receiving it sooner. I am super excited and...
