R2R - Roadster or... Rally? :hmm:
R2S - would be funny to have just a different SUV on the next platform. Kind of a heads-up move given the American market's appetite for the things.
You can ask the Rivian insurance rep to get you a Cincinati quote, too. They work with both insurance providers, but don't always mention it. If you're a high net worth insuree (sounds like you might be) Cincinati might be happy to have you.
One would hope a lot of things about IoT infrastructure. Rivian is doubtless better than most (google "internet of shit"), but existing on the public internet as these seem to just comes with a ton of risks. Just the other day we had this, for instance.
The flipper can't do much even to traditional cars (sub-ghz fobs) without flashing a custom (and illegal) firmware. It's nice that the Rivian is resistant to some of this stuff, but there's a much larger attack surface given the OTA update and always-on internet vectors. *shrug*
I used AdelFi, which requires you to be onboard with a Christian mission or be related to an existing member. I qualified for the latter, and got a 2.5% loan in October.
General consensus is that Chase is pretty awful all around.
I've had chains that salespeople swore up and down were right for my car/tires fuck up a couple of vehicles or just not fit quite right. If folks find a good option I'd be down to snag some, plenty of room in my tunnel or front area to pack goodies into still.
When it comes to PNW driving...
I've had a tiny bit of slippage - not even measurable in inches, but still enough to give a quick pucker - on even just wet streets, on the 20" ATs, on a very steep incline. It's not great. The truck is 7000+lbs, so as others have said the friction requirements increase commensurately. I'm...
The 4Runner is also the definition of a tried and true vehicle, that thing will go forever and do everything. You could do a lot worse.
That said, feel free to send me your pre-march pricing slot for the R1S whenever you want, my DMs are open here :)
I was 11/21 and swapped to an R1T to guarantee 2022 delivery, would have been cool to get the S with tax rebate, but eh.
Happy for you, but probably you should let them know about the bug. There's enough info out there just with what you've said so far for people to start poking at the site...
You can get insurance through Cincinati (the agents at Rivian insurance can hook you up with them) that will cover cost of replacement instead of MSRP. For my cars together, the quote was only about $300/year more than otherwise equivalent Nationwide coverage. If that buys you peace of mind...
Oh not a bad idea. I've done a bit of tromping around and I think even camping off that stretch and it's definitely lovely. As you say, it feels more like a gravel road than 'off road', but a good idea for getting out of town nonetheless.
Cool, signed up. It's odd, domo had pointed me in that direction earlier but all that came up initially was an instagram page, not the website itself. Now it actually came up. Google fuckery, maybe.
Hey folks, got my lovely R1T recently and am keen to try and find a few places to stretch my legs, make use of the AT tires, and get a little mud on the panels maybe.
Not super familiar with the scene - I've looked at the suggestions in Alltrails and Trailsoffroad, but a lot of those are real...
This is going to devolve into another back and forth I suspect, which I don't want. So I'll say what I think are facts, throw in a bit of editorializing, and try not follow up much. But a bunch of banks are trying to get better than 60c on the dollar for the debt for Twitter, and Musk floundered...
If you still cling to the notion Musk being a genius businessman, I'd recommend reading the series of Matt Levine's Money Stuff column through the duration of the Twitter affair. Heck, read all the Money Stuff, it's a great column.
I for one am glad he's showing his ass to the world as it's...
