Given my experience, it is absolutely the exception and not the norm. I've never seen a 350kW EA station - only EvGO - and most of the 150kW rated stations top out around 70 or 80kW.
Lots of awkwardly positioned stations, broken stations, and generally slow. I know there's a guy in here who's...
Hyundai's treatment of preorders for the Ioniq 5 make Rivian look GOATED. VW's as you say are worse. Ford's been doing a terrible job - a friend and I had a preorder for both a Maverick and a Lightning and both somehow got lost in the mail.
Yeah, Rivian's communications and business decisions...
update: yall are a bunch of pussies, I just put a blanket down and loaded stuff into the bed. a few items (couch esp) hung over the back of the tailgate but bungee cords and a nylon strap did just a-ok there. It was fine. I got more scratches scraping ice off my tonneau so it'd actually open...
I could totally get a trailer, kind of want to try it without though. If it looks dicey when I show up to get the first batch of stuff I'll just snag one of course.
Hey folks, I'm going to be moving a few things that are too big to just fit right into the bed. Was wondering what configurations people had had success with in the past - one rack on the back of the roof (brace the top of large item) and one in the back of the bed? Roof on top + tiedown in...
Yeah, I love my R1T don't get me wrong, but I initially signed up for the S and only swapped to get the tax credit. Not sure I'd even change now if I had the chance, but it'd be neat to have the opportunity. Haven't even driven an S, so who knows.
I'd love to be able to see something like this in person before pulling the trigger. If someone in the PNW gets a set, hit me up! My short partner will appreciate you.
Depends on what you're listening to! I listen mostly to classical, jazz, a bit of rock, and some electronica. What seems to do best for those without micromanaging the EQ is a very gentle "U" shape, starting about 1/3rd of the way up on the 63Hz side, dipping slowly down to about 1/4 of the way...
I always wonder that when I see a fellow Rivian. When I'm in Seattle it seems like I always see one nowadays (came back to my parking spot on cap hill once and had a buddy parked next to me), and there're even a few out on the islands.
The takeaway for me is that the same thoughtful choice process that I like about my truck got applied to the EDV, which seems unsurprising I guess. Would be amazing to see these kitted out with bigger batteries and a little living area. A certain segment of the vanlife folks would go apeshit for...
Made it out to that Tahuya place today, pretty pleasant drive up along the canal, little rainy and foggy but I'm by no means opposed to that.
The roads themselves (USFS 24 and 2480) had about 4-10 inches of packed but wet snow on them throughout. Tracks existed and there'd obviously been a...
