We can hate on Sandy all we want, but I'd rather a healthy Rivian, Inc. exist in 10 years to service my truck than that they go under. And I'd rather a healthy Rivian, Inc. exist in 5 to keep the market confident enough in case I want to trade my truck in for the next cool toy.
I guess that's...
Yeah that's wild, bit of a coup. To be fair though, Rivian really falls into exactly Doug's wheelhouse: offroad capability, quirky styling, straight-line acceleration, etc. I can see why some of the comments seem bitter, but as a bit of a fanboy it definitely makes me happy.
Hey all, I noticed that Mr Demuro's latest video, on the Mercedes-AMG G63 4xyadda blah blah, failed to benchmark that gorgeous anodized high-performance off-road SUV against at least 1 of its natural competitors: the R1S.
Seems like a weird omission, since the R1T is still right there. So I...
I do think that "brake a lot to encourage people to pass you" is... not great advice. In LA or Chicago, I could see that inducing road rage. In Seattle, drivers are too braindead to even notice, they'll just accelerate til they're on your ass and then screech to a halt, over and over and over...
Ah man that's brutal. Glad everyone's okay, but sorry for the PITA.
Regen braking has integrated with brake lights for a long time now, and it's no different on the Rivian.
Orlok over here so distraught he's talking to himself. Seriously tho, I bet you can get that fixed by a service center pretty easily.
I don't mind the car there, but agree it'd be nice to have the option to that space a bit.
The riviparts one that hangs on the door cargo slot. It's good if you don't have to open or close it too much, and I might grab some stick on foam to keep it from sliding if it's an issue.
Among other things, my gal got my a cup holder and center console organizer from riviparts as I'd sort of complained about the usability of some of that space before. They sent a bonus console divider too ?. Looking at some charger upgrades from twraps but waiting on the right colors to come...
Can you say more about that? In my mind there's a difference between a few things: the user-set max SOC (70, 85 ,etc%), the stated max capacity (135kwh), an effective max charge (125-129kwh by many measures?) and an actual on-product battery deliverable rating (141 kWh, apparently).
It'd be...
