I didnt consider State Farm might have also had enough. Pretty sure he broke his frunk doing his hot swap and Rivian flagged him after trying to get it fixed under warranty. Sounds like he has many State Farm policies, so who knows what shenanigans might have gone down over the years and 73...
Alright, I think I might have solved the mystery! I took a look at your old posts and Iād say good chance you are on the Rivian shit list.
Looks like just a few weeks ago you were pretty pissed and having some major issues with the service center on your last Rivan and an issue with the hood...
I commented above. OP called out that he had 2 Rivians before and one was ābasically a lemon.ā Iād love to hear how his interactions with customer service and the service center went with his prior Rivians. My hunch, things didnāt go well and they dont want him to have another.
This isn't correct. Companies give lease deals all the time and in some cases you can save money by leasing vs buying then selling. And with folks that canāt get the EV tax credit due to income can get it with a lease. I paid cash for my R1T, but Iād consider a lease if I get an R1S just so I...
How much did you work with Rivian on the ālemonā issues? And how did that go? This kind of reminds me of this old thread. Long thread short - a guy was complaining that Rivian wouldnāt reinstate his pre-order. Turned out he had a long history of being really terrible to Rivian customer service...
Wow, this is a pretty long thread for a topic like this. Sound like you have either 13 or 73 other cars based on the above. Simple solution might be to just go drive one of them and forget about all this drama.
Dual motor / standard battery R1S is pretty much the same range/performance specs. But R1S is $6K cheaper. Looks is subjective so let's call it a tie. But the fact you get a 3rd row and way more cargo, the R1S is a clear winner.
If I wasnāt planning on doing any off road Iād wait for 21ā wheels. You will save a lot of money and you will have much better efficiency/range. I agree with others that the AT 20ā are great on and off road, but it doesn't really make sense if you donāt need it.
Just got back from my first drive post update
1. Loving the new Bounce mode. Always thought after I went over a bump "would love to feel this bump a few more times." Now I can. Seriously, need to bring back the old Soft mode and call this new one "Super Soft." Going over several speed humps...
I don't believe they are giving anyone pre-march pricing on the spare tire, which is the same situation. So there is no reason to expect they'd give pre-march pricing on the Tonneau cover.
I personally wouldn't be upset if they didn't give me pre-march pricing on it. I made my decision to go...
I think this is the point. For my personal situation best case I get access to a crap ton more chargers making my EV experience a lot better. Worst case Iām in the same situation Iām in today and have to use EA and others. I also would say I have no problem if Tesla owners get charged less than...
Good post. Based on data that can be discussed and debated. And I agree with a lot of this.
I would say I disagree with āTesla's market share dropped from 78% to 58% in 2022 ALONE. 58% is still pretty damned good, but those are pants-shitting numbers if you run that company.ā The EV market grew...
Thanks. This is a logical argument. Itās based on actual real things that can actually be discussed.
I frankly find it boring having a EV debate centered around our opinions of a human. Iād find it much more interesting discussing the technical nature of the standards and the potential...
Yeah but who is doing the allowing or not allowing? The beauty of this country is the people decide where things go (most of the time). The only reason NACS is taking off is because millions of people bought Teslas and charge at super chargers. If as many million bought a nissan leaf and charged...
I really canāt understand people having strong opinions about the future of EV charging based on a single specific human that is associated with a company that designed a standard. Iāve seen zero logical arguments on why NACS is bad and why the move to NACS is bad without also mentioning a...
So this might be the deal breaker for me. What I donāt understand is Tesla vehicles probably have more situational awareness than most cars for FSD, but why not relay that to the drivers? Seems like FSD is more the priority than the driver. Which would actually be fine for me if it was true FSD...
While this might mean that one of these trucks are capable of getting an auto cover installed in the future, that doesnt mean trucks out in the wild can. Maybe why they didnt make an announcement? Didnt want to piss a bunch of us off?
Anyway, even though I have a manual one coming Iād want one...
Looks like a nice bag. While I get the shape is the point, I'm struggling with it. I've never had issue getting any soft bag to conform with the gear tunnel, so I don't know if I get the point. And if you end up keeping the bag longer than the truck it might be a bit silly with an odd shaped...
