Not so sure, Toyota has been flip flopping on EVs for years. Migrating from ICE to EV is not easy. If in distress, Rivian and it’s platform could easily become a takeover target for an ICE. I don’t think it will happen, but if they did go bankrupt a buyout would be pretty likely.
Toyota for example, their EV goals are modest at best and behind Rivian.
