I know that when Tesla went with Li-Ion low voltage batteries on the Model Y (right before I had gotten mine), they were actually 16v, which messed up the towing package, as the line that would top off the trailer batters (and power other accessories) didn't work. So that was annoying...
Here's a nice write-up on why EVs still have a 12v battery. Essentially, it's to power all the components that are still 12v in the vehicle, and to isolate/disconnect the high voltage system when not in use (for safety and to keep as much energy in the HV battery as possible between drives).
I'm guessing it's due to the patio feature - it has to be squared off for that, since it folds up. It's becoming something that you see on more and more travel trailers, and I'm not sold on it...
It has to get to standard height from a lower position now. It should take longer - unless there was some undocumented change at the rate the suspension rises (which I'm doubting, as that seems like it would be more work on the whole system).
If you are parking in a garage every night (like I do), it needs to be very cold outside for the battery temp to be low enough for any messages to show up. My garage is insulated (not well, but I blame the 50-year old construction work with uneven bay sizes!) so it's usually 5 or so degrees...
I'm waiting to hear more from people getting this tire, but for 275/55R21. If there's something this nicely priced for that size that doesn't mess with range all that much, it's much better than the spendy OEM tires.
TPMS requires the vehicle moving to get an accurate measurement. Or why, when you have parked for more than a few hours, you see on the gauges view a timestamp for when the pressure was measured. The number updates once you have driven for some distance.
If the tire lost it's pressure all the...
Not every reservation will actually translate to a sale. Additionally, they most likely won't get to that run rate for a few years, unless the demand shows up (which I hope it does!)
I usually say when signatures start getting involved in the process.
That being said, I last went thru the order process in January of 2024, and things have changed since then..... and we don't know if they will change again with the launch of R2 - they might be revamping some things to take...
Or maybe they balance it out with the fact that charging your truck outside of these big trips is so much cheaper that you're still ahead overall?
I'm also curious as to what gas costs you used and towing gas milage got you to your numbers.
