If they end up having the rental ready and are organized when I drop off the vehicle than I'll have less of an issue with driving to the SC. Still a pain driving into NYC but I digress.
I'll drive it into Brooklyn...
If it's in-warranty repairs, Rivian should be paying for my $200ish dollar Uber back to Central NJ, and another $200ish Uber back to Brooklyn when its ready to be picked up.
I think that would be a fair approach...
Folks better do a much better job at "accepting" delivery when the vehicle arrives at their doorstep. Putting lipstick on a pig won't make anything better.
Take 3-4 hours going over the vehicle, taking a test drive locally and highway - look over all the common issues people are finding with...
From my POV...the nearest SC is in Brooklyn, NY...the tolls, aggravation, and traffic from driving into NYC from NJ would be a major PIA...
They need to open more SC's...if they made this "call" 8-12 months from now it would be less disturbing as QC at the factory should be increasing over the...
If this is factual this is some BS.
For in-warranty repairs - this makes no sense. The vehicle owner gets penalized for items needing to be fixed due to manufacturer defects?
That won't end well....
Agreed - any way, thank you for listing out the steps for pulling this off!
I'll have to look into the pucks and a Rennstand once available!
This thread has become a"wiki" in my opinion for Tire Rotations on Rivians.
If I understand correctly one would have to buy that jack stand or a similar stand directly from the MFR once they produce it, the EV pucks...and already have a 2-ton or 3-ton jack to pull off rotations at home.
Jack up one wheel, leave the stand behind.
Second, jack up the next wheel with a...
I asked a similar question in chat about production...I asked if they have produced any non-LE R1Ss yet...got the same copy/paste response!
I truly believe they don't know but how hard would it be for them to find out and email me back with a concise answer...
When someone begins a statement with all due respect they mean nothing but respect...
I don't agree with you dissecting @Yossarian post above and the conclusion you reached. He sounded quite reasonably impressed with going from a Volvo to a Telluride...
Nowhere is he comparing 13 year old tech...
I'm glad the last two posts back me up with the Telluride. I have the SX-P, fully loaded and my sister has a fully loaded XC-90...
She asked if I'd trade SUVs because she feels like my Telluride is much more nimble yet feels just as luxurious... I said no thank you! Haha.
I'd buy the EV9 in a...
+1 we have to start seeing this broken down by R1S vs. R1T...if you don't want to confuse this work then the R1S should have it's separate thread/data tracking.
