20" tires = 48lbs
21" tires = 37lbs
22" tires = 37lbs
Don't forget the larger diameter of the 20" tires exacerbating the additional weight issue. I don't know what the wheels weigh, but based on the same diameter for the 21" and 22" tires, as well as the same tire weight, I assume the 22"...
The center channel is a 2-way speaker, so maybe they're counting those as two speakers. In the R1S, the 3rd row speakers are also 2-ways, but that would add up to 23 speakers, so who knows??
Well, at least this increase doesn't go against the $80k cap in case my signed agreement doesn't work. Not included in MSRP on Monroney stickers, so I assume we're okay, but I know the dangers of assuming...
One of the big reasons I went to Adventure was the dark headliner as my eyes are quite sensitive to light. With the black wood on the OC interior, I'd very much consider that interior now if I could keep a dark headliner.
No need to be on good behavior, I'm an, uh, assertive driver, haha. I'm mostly in my black FJ Cruiser (quite modified) or white Holden Commodore (Australian 4-door sedan). I'd love to see it at some point as your loaner is the only one I've seen in person at all. I'll let you get settled into...
Pretty sure that's you then. I've been wondering why an R1T with manufacturer tags would be running around our end of the world and never connected the dots until now. Looking forward to seeing your Limestone as that's what I'm planning on.
The good news is that after following you, I don't...
I guess that's the beauty of 4 independent motors. Wonder how the quickly the truck figures out which corner you put the retarded tire on, or will there be a setting for that in the R1S?
Edit: wonder what happens when the dual motor trucks arrive and you have one motor driving the whole axle?
I think that depends on battery supply issues. Three max pack battery upgrades adds up to another regular 135 kWh battery. If cells are a limiting supply factor, then that's another whole truck they could sell and profit from. Hopefully the profit margin on three max pack upgrades isn't...
BS. You've clearly never been outside a Pep Boys or Advance Auto. So many stick-on chrome grills, vents, window visors, letters, etc. I occasionally see cars that look like they bought two of everything from that section!
Yeah, there seems to be one customer service person in the know that lets these nuggets slip. Most of these oddly specific nuggets have turned out to be true.
I'm guessing supply issues with the lighter wood, but I found the original OC wood to look washed out and pickled at best in pictures, so this contrasting color might work well. I'd still like to see the FE wood in a BM interior though.
Layman question- How does that work regarding jurisdiction? The agreement doesn't specify a jurisdiction, but it does point to Rivian.com's legal page for dispute resolution, where the customer's location is specified for jurisdiction. How does Rivian's lack of a license in my state affect the...
If we're giving away some free electricity, there are plenty of people that would truly benefit from it more than someone who can afford a $55k car, but I'm generally not a fan of government handouts as a whole. Now if we're talking about private businesses paying for the electricity to entice...
Completely agreed if my butt is getting underneath the vehicle. I'm pretty attached to myself and don't wanna get squished. If I'm just lifting it a few inches off the ground for tire rotations (and not getting under it), I'd be more okay with stress testing the equipment.
