Biggest miss in my opinion would be the lack of camera for the tow hitch. Everything else that I have complaints with can be fixed via software. But no physical camera directly over the trailer hitch makes lining up towing a bit more involved.
From the videos I’ve seen of him talking about Tesla, I get the impression he is a big fan of Tesla’s manufacturing because of what they’re willing to do. He showed three different generation Teslas that were only a couple years apart each and they went from 70+ parts to like 3. From a...
Agreed. That’s been one of my complaints and I’ve given rivian this feedback too, that they act like it’s some massive secret as to the details of what they’re working. I want to know if they have an Apple Music integration on the road map, or SiriusXM App. Not just “more music integrations is...
FYI, Wassym on Reddit said next update is dropping next week and resolve the security issue and has new features, but hasn’t detailed what those new features are.
Yeah I agree I’d try to snap a picture of them at night. Mine are insanely bright and I can see pretty much everything. I’ve never had a vehicle with this bright of headlights before and I’ve had numerous HID equipped vehicles
CCS is the standard though, TPC isn't. What would a company gain by paying Tesla licensing fees to use their connector when they can just use CCS and not pay licensing fees. Tesla users will just be using the Tesla Supercharger anyways, so what incentive is it to them.
I disagree with the...
I also have a 78xx VIN but haven’t been contacted about any sort of underbody inspection. I don’t have the off-road package if that makes a difference.
I’ve got service scheduled next week for my spare tire to be installed so I’ll ask them while they’re here if they have heard of anything.
Coincidentally enough Kyle from OOS Reviews put up a pretty in-depth video regarding the unreliable EV chargers in America
Covers the topic pretty in-depth and does a good job of explaining it from different point of views.
2 months and 3,000 miles on mine. Taken on multiple road trips and is nothing like you’re describing. Mine feels very solid and doesn’t pull at all. No alignment issues or anything that I’ve noticed.
I’d schedule service as well, that does not sound anything like how my truck has been
Development work takes time, and quad zone isn’t a necessity so it likely got pushed to post launch. I’d happily wait for that feature while they spend more time on things like vampire drain.
Cool, so your definition of reliable is if you don't get stranded. That's a pretty low bar, and that's not my definition of reliable. I wouldn't call my Rivian reliable just because it gets me from point A to point B, and hasn't left me stranded.
Reliability (clearly in my opinion) takes much...
I just don't understand how you can call that misinformation. We're not saying EA is owned by someone it isn't that's clearly false information, we're saying it isn't reliable. That's not misinformation.
Again, I'm glad it works for you and i'm hoping that means maybe one day it will...
Then you must be lucky. It's also not just us EA isn't rated very well at all:

So saying it's user error seems pretty short sided, but hey you do you.
It's garbage, first hand experience here. I have to do the EA dance everytime I've attempted to use it (plug in, attempt to start, unplug, try again).
There's also Rivian/Lightning owners on Youtube that travel a ton of and post videos about their charging expiriences, and it isn't good...
