I haven't received notification of the update, either. It doesn't bother me because there's nothing in the update that I need (or even particularly "want") just a few "nice to have's". I'll just wait until the update gets pushed to the truck and do the update at night when I don't need to use it.
It's my understanding that it has to go to the Portland (Tulatin) SC. If not driveable and not under warranty, owner pays for towing. Otherwise, if not driveable and covered by your warranty, Rivian pays for towing. I don't know if that includes towing back to the owner post-repair, though.
I voted "Yes". I did call Rivian yesterday regarding the recall and they are supposed to call me back with a date & time for the mobile service technician to stop by and perform the check.
Someone in another thread posted the following technique:
a. Lower the suspension to the lowest height to compact the snow.
b. Raise the suspension to the highest setting.
c. Drive forward
When you get stuck, repeat steps a,b, and c.
Well, that was kinda painful!
I had to install SimpleCommands on my tablet and Alexa on my phone. Then I had to reset the password in the MyQ app. Then I was able to go through the steps from thesmartcave.com. It took a couple of tries before the MyQ Connect was discovered.
Phew!
Well... Apparently SimpleCommands doesn't work with the Android 12. Went to PlayStore and got the following message: "This app isn't available for your device because it was made for an older version of Android" :(
I thought I'd check out IFTTT. There's an applet "Tell Alexa to Close Garage...
Need some help on this oldish thread. Both @OGLindy and @VSG have said that they can control the MyQ garage door through Alexa. Neither I nor @macwinpro have been able to make this work.
Asking again if someone can post the steps used to make this happen.
Thanks!
The Rivian employee I spoke to at the Sacramento location back in early December told me that it was a parts issue. He also told me at the time that Coos Bay and Madras would be coming online "soon". I just didn't realize that meant a month later and not a week or two.
This happens to me, as well. It pops up just as I start heading downhill after Meissner Nordic. I'm pretty sure that I hear a chime when the notification appears. I'll try to remember to listen for it when I'm on my way back from skiing tomorrow.
Not sure if you know this, but there is a service tech, AJ, who operates out of Redmond and performs mobile service in the Bend-Redmond area. Actually, he covers all of central Oregon and has traveled to Coos Bay for work assignments.
