Problem is where do you buy a rivian 12v battery? Service center won't sell them, no auto parts store has them. Yeah you can spend the $800 to have rivian swap them but when I can spend $100 to put in a larger 12v battery on an ICE vehicle it's pretty ridiculous you cant buy one for a Rivian.

If it's never going green your battery is never getting full. 1 amp is only 12 watts, although over 24 hours that is 288 Wh....I want to say I think mine was closer to using 400Wh a day but I'm not sure. Yeah I read that update to only apply when the 12v either is failing or just on a low charge, so wouldn't apply to fully charged good health 12v. Who knows though

I believe the vehicle must be away to use the HV pack. When it goes to sleep it opens the contactors for safety.

I can always click unlock on the app if it opens. I have my keycard as a backup but basically never use it. But the Tesla unlock is MUCH better and works 99% of the time. Rivian probably works 70% of the time for me. I'm not sure why Rivians is so much worse.
