Communication is key. Had they told us along the way that things were looking like a price increase then we'd be more open to it. They knew it was going to happen, but they wanted to get through the IPO and through the first batch of reviewers. They knew all along and kept touting how it's such...
I know it's not really the point, but Apple created the lightning connector years before USB-C was even a thing. Their hesitancy to move to it baffles me and they absolutely need to switch, but they had lightning long before USB-C was ever released.
Yeah, they'll announce it for 50K, take tons of pre-orders and promise a 2023 delivery only for it to be 2025. Then jack the price up to 80K when production starts.
I'm not sour....
I figured it was coming too, but I didn't see this much of an increase coming. And then also taking options that were previously included and charging for them
I bought a few years ago a MyQ embedded garage door opener and use the Homekit connection via MyQ and haven't had any issues with it in the 2 years we've used it. Granted I haven't used the MyQ app at all, it's been working for us without issue.
A friend of mine however went out and bought the...
If they could bring this functionality via USB and not Bluetooth so we’d get higher quality audio I’d be perfectly happy with it personally. Either that or bring Apple Music into the native UI. I just want to listen to music that isn’t over bluetooth and not Spotify.
Yeah I mean I'm not saying you're wrong, I think it's crazy for that to even be a thing. But after reading a few other articles on it, it looks like Ford is distancing themselves from it and are just giving the provision to the dealerships as an optional thing and it's up to the dealers to...
I read somewhere that Ford was forcing lightning owners to a 12 month no sale agreement in order to purchase it. I’m curious if that stick to that and force people to keep it for 12 months
Agreed, I'm not a Tesla fan so I've never considered a Model X or Model Y. But I'm really liking the Lucid Air so far from what I've seen and am very interested in the Gravity. If they can reach close to 500 mile of range in an SUV then they definitely have my attention.
You're right, my bad. Makes sense as to why it's a completely unpopular feature that not many people use.

Are you ignoring that bluetooth is only for audio? Some people want Calendar, Audiobooks, Podcasts, Their own navigation maps, etc. Bluetooth only gets you lower quality audio. Nothing for a UI that developers would want. Hence why AA/CP is in nearly all new vehicles.
As a developer, that's not scalable. CarPlay and Android Auto make it easy for companies to get their apps into your vehicles without much effort. Take Audible for example, you think they have the man power to devote an entire team to understanding Tesla's app creation system (if it existed)...
Yeah but it's all relative. I'm not complaining about the Rivian as I'm looking forward to mine, but the same can be said about a 75K truck compared to other trucks that are 75K. Full 360 degree cameras with birds eye view, Functional Garage door opener, trailer blind spot system, etc. It's all...
