  1. Poll: Did you get the Email "Get Ready For Your Order Process"

I would assume a large entity like them sending thousands of emails would utilize something like sendgrid or similiar. That's what we leveraged when we had to send thousands of emails out to people at a larger company. Allows you to see how many read, helps avoid spam attacks, etc.
  2. Article: How Rivian's CEO became the anti-Elon - Financial Times

On my first mile drive that's exactly what the person from Rivian had me do. Stand on both pedals, count to 3 and let go of the brake.
  3. Oct-Dec 2022 Delivery Windows

Yeah I'm BM as well, I also just added the underbody shield as well. I think another person on here basically has the exact setup I do and got their PBA earlier this week, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
  4. OTA Update 2022.15 Software Release Notes

Would anyone be able to confirm that you cannot use the garage door opener without a key? So if someone broke into the truck, that they wouldn't be able to use the garage door via the screen?
  5. OTA Update 2022.15 Software Release Notes

Fair points, but it's been done before as Sony has a native Apple Music app on their Playstation consoles, so the precedence has been set that Apple will allow it on a technical level. I'm sure there's some kick backs or something that Sony did to make it worth Apple's time in doing so.
  6. OTA Update 2022.15 Software Release Notes

I haven't looked into the source code much, but there is Cider that works for me on Arch linux no problem. I'd imagine they're using some sort of API to connect to Apple Music, I just need to go through the repo and see. https://cider.sh https://github.com/ciderapp/Cider
  7. Driver+ Enabled / Mapped on Which Highways ?

During my first mile drive last week, I took it on 75 near Plano in Texas, as well as Sam Rayburn Tollway trying to test Driver+ and neither worked.
  8. Dallas First Mile Test Drives Now Booking Appointments

I feel the same way, I had a Silver Camaro when they came out in 2010 but I never really cared for the color after a few months. The silver on the Rivian looks really nice though, I liked it a lot. I've got mine set to Glacier white right now but the one I'm seriously considering is Red Canyon...
  9. Dallas First Mile Test Drives Now Booking Appointments

Got back from my test drive, absolutely loved it. It was the LA Silver on 22's and it was awesome. Very impressed with it and the fit and finish was even better than I was expecting. Now it's going to make the wait even harder haha
  10. Dallas First Mile Test Drives Now Booking Appointments

Not yet, scheduled for 1PM so I've got just a little bit longer to go
  11. ? New Rivian email: production sequence adjustments to maximize production output in spite of supply challenge

Was "priority delivery" ever defined though? To me, it doesn't mean "we won't ship any other vehicle until all LE's are delivered", more so just that they're making significantly more LE's over Adventure packages until all LE's are finished
  12. Electric Corvette

Agreed. I personally love the Mach E with the exception of it's name. Other than it being called a "Mustang" I think it's a great vehicle. I hope GM doesn't do similar and call an SUV a Corvette.
  13. We all should be mad and writing our congressmen about the corruption in charging networks.

Isn't this just as assumption as far as how much Tesla's chargers cost? "Companies couldn’t apply for more than 70% of the cost of the chargers up to $150,000 per charger, and Forbes reports that Tesla was asking for only ~$30,000 per charger versus the full $150,000 for most applicants" It...
  14. To PPF or not to PPF?

I will likely personally just do some sort of PPF for the flat front end of the truck, but other than that I won't be doing PPF. The cost of PPF to do half/full vehicle is going to be more expensive just to do paint correction in 3-5 years. I'm just not going to worry about it outside of the...
  15. My Hummer EV Edition 1 journey

Congrats @Dark-Fx, time to start laughing on your way to the bank
  16. Garage door opener software

Does anyone know if the garage door opener works without a key? That's one of the reasons I don't have my Grand Cherokee programmed to my garage is that on the off chance that it's not parked in my garage, if you break the window open you can open my garage so I just use my phone with MyQ to...
  17. The Built In Navigation Solution

Agreed, it's not ideal by any means but it's a solution nonetheless. With that said, I haven't sat it one yet so my plan is only theoretical. My mobile first drive is in 2 weeks so I'll get a better idea for it then, but i'm still at the mercy of Rivian allowing music via USB so until then I'm...
  18. The Built In Navigation Solution

For reasons like this amongst many others, I plan on installing a cheap Amazon Fire Tablet much like this person did: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/the-dream-of-apple-carplay-in-a-tesla-comes-true-with-simple-yet-clever-setup-153545.html And using that for CarPlay. The only caveat being...
