No doubt! Had 22s on original config (hence my mistake stating 22s on my OP), but switched to ATs just before delivery… mostly because I liked the looked so much better. I just needed 300+ range, and the Max got me that (and at early pricing), so I’m happy with my choices. And lots more charging...
Yeah... in Florida? Probably will never know what driving without AC would be like, at least anytime other than winter :). Although I'm a native and use to the heat, so I don't run it is cool as many folks...
All indications have suggested better range with 21" tires, so I assume that remains true. A bit disappointed that my estimated range (on ATs) was as far off as it was from my actual range, but probably not surprising. And 'remaining miles' seems to have tracked correctly. Having never run it...
I reserved and waited for 2.5 years for my R1T (delivered 12/30/2023) with Max Pack specifically to have an EV truck that (I hoped) could make our typically monthly trip from our house in coastal Florida to our condo (with no easy access to charger at the condo) in Ocala, FL, and return… all...
Actually got my shipping notice from Interrobang the day after my post here… 8 weeks to the day… exactly what I was quoted. What, me patiently waiting? Not so much ?. Thanks.
Update: Interrobang tonneau received and installed today (04/01) - it is perfect and looks great! Finally the aesthetics...
Yeah… well anything - maybe especially said by an insurance company - that sounds easy and simple and obvious needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
So, Nationwide. Probably as good as most insurance companies. And the ‘extras’ are nice. But there is always a cost to those features. And the...
Yeah, hard to believe in the video they seem completely unaware of the ‘recharge cables’ behind that round plastic cover 6” away… seems like curiosity alone would have me pulling that cap to see what was behind it.
Related to this whole topic, what I am most keen to understand is how much juice...
So by 'complete jump', do you mean recharge? So if I want to hook up to a trickle charger, those rear leads will work fine? And can you clarify the 'override' a charger connected to those rear leads needs to have to actually initiate a charge? Not sure what words to look for in the charger specs...
OK... well I've read ALL of these comments and feedback. And I'm neither a mechanic nor an electrician. But I am still really not clear on the SOLUTION should I have a 12V battery failure. So let me ask a few questions, make a few comments, and hopefully get a few really clear answers:
1. It...
Oh… never mind… Manual Tonneau Cover? Totally forgot about it. I cancelled and ordered the Interrobang Automotive cover (which I have also not yet received - about 2 mo. since order).
Received a check from Rivian today with no explanation other than memo note: ‘MTC Return Refund’. Searched the forum and didn’t get any hits. Check came about 3 months after my delivery and was equal to about 1% of my purchase price.
OK, sounds like I can't go wrong with a 4" box. Not too excited about surface mount box/conduit in the garage, but probably can be limited to one drop coming down one wall from the attic, which I can live with. Thanks for the help.
Since it is a rental, decided I'm not willing to pay for the EVSE and install (and guess at the type equipment a tenant might want)... just going to provide the circuit.
Thanks to the community for all the feedback. As suggested, for my rental remodel (long-term leases only) I’m going to go with installing a 60 amp (less expensive non-GFCI) continuous duty breaker terminated at a capped junction box in the garage, and calling it ‘EV Ready’. I will require...
I get that approach, appreciate the advice, and I am willing to consider that option. But it is yet another piece of equipment on which I have to absorb risk (i.e. hope that any deposit can cover any damage - which it never does); maintain/replace; troubleshoot if they can't make it work, etc...
