Ignore the "Yeah, but's"!! Continue with the innovative ideas!
After I purchase this, I hope the Camp Speaker Gun Safe and Camp Speaker Pop-Out Toaster is ready for production. Maybe a Camp Speaker Auxiliary Passenger Foot Warmer for my wifee-poo's cold toes after a snow hike. Or a Camp Speaker...
If:
- LiFePo4 (not Li-ion)
- Regulated Pure Sine output (or at least a curvy wave - not a modified/square one)
- >= 1 Kwh (1000w) sustained 110v output
- Not too, too pricey (and it will be a bit pricey, folks!)
I'm in for one.
I'm assuming those are USB-C ports below the 110v?
Very well done.
How about implementing it (tank turn) for, say, 2 seconds at a time? Might help get out of a jam. And/or a front/rear "dig"?
Off-roaders with the fancy Atlas transfer cases are doing "digs" all over the place, all the time.
Oh - and I'll take Tread Lightly more seriously when they admit (which...
Hmmm. The last few App updates apparently are not download-able on my older, but still supported iPhone SE IOS 15.7.9.
If any Rivian techs are watching this thread, can you please explain why?
Thx.
That's a great spec sheet. Looks like the 135K/wh battery has the best power-to-weight ratio...
Supposedly, that algorithm I saw (measure weight, tilt the vehicle, measure again, math math math...) would also calculate the height of CoG.
This is a good start, though. Thanks.
This should be a CoW (Can of Worms)...
I'm sure the answer is available, and I've asked my Guide and Service Manager, both the no avail.
If I were to point my index finger on the outside of the driver or rear passenger door, how far up from the bottom of the door sill would my fingernail...
Any numbers on the most lean angle/terrain you have personally experienced?
I am at a whimpy 28 degrees/hard packed dirt, before the wifee-poo cr@pped her pants... and by "her", I mean "me"...
An interesting (to me, at least) fact.
The last day of the Rally was at the Glamis Sand Dunes. There was worry/speculation by some commentators that the "EVs" might have a problem with range in the sand.
When all was said and done, Team Rivian (#187) had 34% charge left. More than half of the...
Then there's the torque vectoring on the street and the individual traction control on the dirt that the dual-motor cannot match. I use those features 20x more than launching. The quad motor is magic in that regard.
Great post. This time slip says a lot. Let's forget the 1/4 mile time/speed for a moment and take a look at the 1/8th mile data...
0-to-96mph in 7.3492 seconds. We can only guess at how long it takes to go from 96mph to the speed limited 110. But if it does 0-to-96 in 7.3492, my guess, very...
Hmmmm... the 1/4 mile stats I'm seeing (on production trucks) on the interweb usually end in "@ 115mph". I am pretty sure the R1T hits it's speed limiter before the finish line. No?
I finally looked for that drain, but couldn't find one. I did find a quarter (25cent piece) sized indentation on the front passenger side floor, but it wasn't a plug. Where is this drain plug?
Greetings -
I don't need RTT on the R1T bed for camping (we have a Jumping Jack pop-up tent trailer), so I use the crossbars for additional storage.
After a seemingly endless search for quality vs. size, vs utility, I found the "rooftop" basket that is right for my needs. Thought I would share...
Sorry -
Correction: The lights ONLY turn on in the dark and when motion (heat) is detected. So the $4.99 Costco roasted chicken might keep these lights busy! I use rechargeable Energizers which last at least a couple months between charges.
Along the same lines:

They have a light sensor so that will not turn on in the dark, and a 15-20 second "on" period (unless there's motion).
3M two-sided take didn't work too well to mount one just...
