Highway speeds...no. EPA is combo of city/highway. Independent test will be able to validate range and efficiency. 330 seems like some lofty goals to live up to.

I agree 3.75 mi/kwh seems unrealistic. The iX3 is 3.67 mi/kwh, with a much more slippery design. Either BMW is massively underestimating their range or Rivian is overestimating(or a combo of both).

Yeah I would not pass on a LE. I feel like this is a bone Rivian is throwing out to early adopters.

So the hype was partially based on $45k starting price(base model). Now that model is being delivered with only 265miles. Is the hype going to die down? That range number is Toyota EV levels. What gets their EVs mocked for.

Really hope paint options are not as much as R1S.

This won't be a popular opinion. But the base $45k R2 is dead on arrival. It will not sell in masses and eventually will get cancelled. They should just cancel the trim now and focus the time/energy/money on the affordable R3.(but the optics of them cancelling the trim would not look good)

It is actually priced very good. They will sell every LE unit. The range below it, pricing isn't amazing. We need option pricing to get a true sense.

The non-LE R2 pricing ranges from $3500-$5500 above Model Y equivalent. I think both vehicles will hold their own segment in the market. Rivian being a more premium product. The affordable base R2 is ending up being a bit of a miss. The pricing for R2 that will make up bulk of the sales is...

I have a feeling as time goes on, LE owners will be quite happy with what they paid. Rivian is kinda hooking up early adopters.

Are paint, wheels, interior, accents/badging going to cost as mush as the R1. A Prem Dual-motor R2 for $55,500(w/dest) with options will get over $60k quickly. Will adaptive suspension at least be an option on the Prem? The LE is going to end up being a steal in the long run.

Compare to Tesla pricing: LE is like for like with Model Y Perf(great deal for those who can snag one) R2 Prem AWD is $5000 more. R2 RWD Large is $3500 more. R2 Standard is $5010 more.

It is $49,985 with dest. One option and you are over. The base 265mile range R2 is really the only sub-$50k model.

No adaptive suspension on Premium R2 is a bummer. I thought the $45k base would only be missing the suspension.

All most exactly what I thought pricing would be. LE just under $60k and Dual/Large $55k. That base model will not be made in mass quantities, it was a trim for headlines. Basically all R2's above base with options are above $50k. Even the Single/Large is $49,985 before options.

That isn't how pricing works. It is never a direct money conversion. Also includes 19% VAT. For example... UK - i5 edrive40 - £67,595 US - i5 edrive40 - $67,100

Interesting they are choosing to build them in Saudi Arabia. I am sure labor is a lot less expensive, so they can have higher margins. I can't even believe they are still around. The Saudis love putting billions in a blender.
