  1. CCS appears to be better than NACS..should R2 stay CCS?

CCS will gradually completely disappear. In the meantime you can get a NACS to CCS adapter when Rivian goes to NACS if you want, but putting a dying tech in a new car would only alienate potential customers.
  2. RJ listen to what Jason Cammisa has to say about the 2nd gen R1S / R1T / R3

Of course they’re not adding CarPlay - Rivian wants to monetize their infotainment system not allow you to use the free one on your phone
  3. Reuters: US as many as 15 years behind China on nuclear power [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Not a fan of a bunch of nuclear plants in a place projected to be in economic decline that may look to cutting costs on upkeep down the road.
  4. Should I go Max w less options or Large.

I had a vehicle with monochromatic roof. I never used it. The other would be just if you value HP or Range more.
  5. Test drove gen 2 R1S today (PDM, Max) -- Initial Pros & Cons Review

not everyone, but the majority agree it’s a subpar sound system. Perhaps the R1T is better since it’s has much less room to fill with sound? (I have no experience with it); the R1S isn’t great though.
  6. Cybertruck Laugh of the Day [⚠️ WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS BANNED]

If you give him a doll, he’ll show you where the Tesla touched him. That’s the only explanation for the obsession.
  7. Article: Rivian's path to survival is now remarkably clear -- agree / disagree?

I’m confident they reduced costs. I’m not confident demand is going to be there for the vehicles at the numbers Rivian needs.
  8. Non-Media Opinion: The R1 Refresh isn’t Gen 2, its Gen 1.2

If you have a gen 1 it shouldn’t be enough to make you want to change. If you don’t have a gen 1, it’s enough to steer the purchase choice clearly to gen 2.
  9. Ok so the refresh came out... still good to get a 1st Gen R1T?

your analysis looks pretty spot on. Some will argue they want the extra HP, but that’s pretty unnecessary. Quad might do a bit better if you are off roading or driving in snow a lot.

Both look great. Here’s hoping the unseen changes are a nice step up
  11. Q2 2024 will be "messy" says RJ. Confirms NACS adapters now shipping

Problem is they have yet to have one of those good ones
  12. New R1 Refresh spotted photos! [Updated w/ New Wheel Aero Covers pic]

I’d say this changes proportionally to how expensive the vehicle is
  13. Some R1 refresh mechanical info from a Rivian service tech, announcement next week?

Refresh isn’t months away; they don’t have enough inventory to wait that long. I bet we see them for sale in June. I’d also be very surprised if it got the R2 wheel as part of this refresh.
  14. Some R1 refresh mechanical info from a Rivian service tech, announcement next week?

I’d be more disappointed if he told you he would choose the pre-refresh. We need the company to succeed & that doesn’t happen if they are not improving/selling more vehicles
  15. New R1 Refresh spotted photos! [Updated w/ New Wheel Aero Covers pic]

Some of these choices are not boding well to do anything to increase demand which is desperately needed at the moment. Really hope some of the unseen changes are more attractive.
