CCS will gradually completely disappear. In the meantime you can get a NACS to CCS adapter when Rivian goes to NACS if you want, but putting a dying tech in a new car would only alienate potential customers.
not everyone, but the majority agree it’s a subpar sound system. Perhaps the R1T is better since it’s has much less room to fill with sound? (I have no experience with it); the R1S isn’t great though.
If you have a gen 1 it shouldn’t be enough to make you want to change. If you don’t have a gen 1, it’s enough to steer the purchase choice clearly to gen 2.
your analysis looks pretty spot on. Some will argue they want the extra HP, but that’s pretty unnecessary. Quad might do a bit better if you are off roading or driving in snow a lot.
Refresh isn’t months away; they don’t have enough inventory to wait that long. I bet we see them for sale in June.
I’d also be very surprised if it got the R2 wheel as part of this refresh.
I’d be more disappointed if he told you he would choose the pre-refresh. We need the company to succeed & that doesn’t happen if they are not improving/selling more vehicles
Some of these choices are not boding well to do anything to increase demand which is desperately needed at the moment. Really hope some of the unseen changes are more attractive.
