  1. How do you handle texts in your R1?

The only advantage of texting, from my view, is that you can answer at your leisure. If it's an urgent matter, they'll call. I like being somewhat disconnected from everything but the road while driving.
  2. Anyone try these mats?

I bought the LinerX and think they're great, especially at nearly half that price...
  3. Follow up - Preparing to purchase - home charger

I have 2 of these (2 different houses). Absolutely great performance over the last year. No need to get anybody's branded charger. Go cheap (but reliable).
  4. PAAK vs Card vs Key Fob -- what do you use?

Not sure if we're exceptionally lucky or if something else is happening. Our iPhones (15 and 12) seem to work just fine. Unlock is usually with about 15 feet and close to that for lock. Someone complained that there was a 45-second delay in locking as they walked away from the car so that...
  5. Show off your Level 2 Home Charger installs here

We use something like this. My wife generally just leaves her R1S in the driveway and charges under the door (has been doing so for over a year with no issues)...
  6. Pay before pickup date?

My experience was a little less organized because on a Friday they told me that it would be at least a week before my R1S would be ready and then the next morning (Saturday) they asked me what time would be good for a pickup on the coming Monday. I pointed out that there was no way for me to...

  9. Watch as a key?

Hate to perseverate but it's now a "wanting to call it" issue, it's a fob. Why not capitalize KEY, if it's just a matter of choice?
  10. Watch as a key?

WHY do PEOPLE keep randomly CAPITALIZING fob? It's just poor writing mechanics.

You're still going to have to pay your Rivian's legal fees - and possibly a fine.
  12. New Concrete Driveway for R1S -- is 4" thick slabs enough for R1S weight?

A 7,000 pound vehicle is hardly a heavy load for these purposes.
  13. How often do you have to reset your Rivian wall charger?

I really could not be happier with mine. I managed to get them on Amazon when they were around $400-$450 each. Phenomenal value; rock-solid reliability.
  14. How often do you have to reset your Rivian wall charger?

Definitely not normal. check your switches. I have 2 Autel Maxichargers and they've been operating flawlessly for over a year.

  16. Best Front License Plate Alternative to having Front R1S Bumper Drilled

Totally this. Couldn't be easier and I actually like the off-center look. No interference with sensors/camera. An elegant solution (if somewhat overpriced for a small bit of plastic).
  17. Leasing NOT offered at pre price-hike prices for reservation holders

So you're "losing" something that you didn't even know existed when you decided to purchase the vehicle initially?
  18. Snowpocalypse and the R1S

We made the ill-advised decision to stay in our country house (about an hour outside Chicago) for the long weekend and got hit with a significant snowfall. The house has an 850-foot driveway and our plow guy had a full schedule. The R1S did great and, as a bonus, left a path for our Prius (with...
