Ours is on a hook in the kitchen with other unused keys. Have only used the fob once, when bringing it in for service. Otherwise it's just our phones with a keycard as a backup.
Not sure where any of the other posters live but if I walked into my local police station with a photo of a license plate in the expectation that they would conduct a search for the theft of a folding table ....
Had my service visit a few days ago. Biggest revelation was that in my 6 or so months of ownership I've never had my vehicle raised to the highest setting. Anyhow, tech was done in about 20 minutes and I'm now fully compliant.
My Autel charger uses RFID cards to control charger access. They're credit card sized and you can lock the charger to only function when the cards are used.
The Lucid Sapphire. Only $250,000, not including the cost of the support vehicle with a pit crew and extra tires.

We have a larger single-family home with two furnaces/AC units, a 2+HP pool pump, pool heater, 2 refrigerators, an electric dryer and a 60Amp EV circuit on a 200A panel. No issues. Other than a pretty high electric bill (aside from the EV).
Yup. It's 2024, time to set 2,000 year old technology aside. When our kids were (idiot) teens I got fed up with them waking me up at odd hours because they forgot/lost their keys. Installed a keypad lock and it was a game-changer. My office building has an attended front desk and our suite has a...
Couldn't tell you where my fob is. Wife and I use phone exclusively. Will use a key card for the occasional valet. My wife used the wristband for the first day or two but then stuffed it in a drawer. Phone is great and literally effortless.
Just set your proximity locking to "Off at Home." Set your home address in navigation then go to Settings>Vehicle>Access>Proximity Locking and set to "Off at Home" if it bothers you. Mine unlocks when I exit the side door to take out the garbage, but it's not a concern for me.
I have 2 Autel Maxichargers. Frequently on sale for under $500. Has a good app and you can get RFID cards to control access (if you're installing in a shared garage or outside).

The service center staff couldn't be more professional and they thoroughly diagnosed my issues and resolved them fully, it's just that there's clearly a process in place to alleviate anxiety and communicate progress to the owners but it's not being implemented.
I can understand personal preference but it locks reliably when i'm about 10-12 feet away. Consistently get a "chirp" confirming that it's locked and I'm never concerned about it being secure. Then, just as reliably, it unlocks as I approach. I find it to be a great feature.
Always amazes me how I survived my childhood without eating or drinking in the car for hours at a time. My wife now needs a three course meal during her 12 minute commute to work.
I'm pretty sure what you're referring to is a wireless adapter. It's for cars with wired Car Play functionality already built-in. The box simply allows for wireless connectivity from your phone. There's no simple add-on to add Car Play to non-compatible systems.
