2025 Maverick finally added an AWD Hybrid version now with the same optional package for 4k towing capacity. Had that been out a year ago it would have been really tempting :)
There's no plans currently, by anyone, to make a smaller BEV pickup. Hybrid Maverick might be the closest thing for now, supposedly there's a PHEV Ranger coming to the US 'soon'.
I'll just add, yes, not a very effective system at the moment, but they did end up turning mine around faster than the estimate and I had my truck back in a week. Obviously may not be the same in all cases, but I think they're trying to set more conservative estimates.
It's dumb, but I kinda want to get the Lightning flag badge for mine. https://www.amazon.com/Ford-Lightning-Tailgate-Badge-NL3Z-9942528-AB/dp/B0CR6XM9C2
If they've run out of the part, yes, and the same goes for any other manufacturer. Floor mats should be super easy to pick up off ebay or facebook marketplace though.
I drove to Portland for my test drive, worth it, but I also head that way every other month or so.
My suggestion, lots of used vehicle dealers have Rivians around Seattle. Pull them up on Autotrader and go take a test drive at one of them. Probably all Quads, but that's all the had in Portland...
They called to cancel/reschedule my install about a week before my service appointment for other things, wiring harness needed is AWOL. Whether that's due to a change or general supplier issue they couldn't say. They didn't seem hopeful that it was going to happen this year.
I will also play to the contrary here, I know you say you're burned out on the traditional manufacturers, but there are some steals every now and then on the F150 Lightning and it'd match your Ram a little closer. No EV will really be easy to work on but I have to imagine it will be easier to...
They have offered incentives for periods in the past, I think it's reasonable to assume they will come back, but when is anyone's guess. If you aren't in a rush just keep watching the inventory, they usually made a pretty big deal about it with a banner on the site + emails. However those past...
I definitely disliked it after my test drive, especially coming from a Ford EV where they use blended regen brakes for a more regular 2-pedal drive (maybe go give one of those a try for comparison). I would still very much prefer lower settings (and an off one for certain situations), I don't...
Staff in both Portland and Bellevue were all awesome, getting an appointment slot however...
If it is an appointment you'd ever be charged for you'll save the sales tax if you head south. I did that to pick up my spare tire.
From the factory, the 20s better fit your description, but 22s will get you better efficiency overall, and there are plenty of grippier tire options out there. 20s I'd really more lean to if you are going offroading, but there's even more tire options at that size which would help you recoup...
No issues on my R1T, however our Ford Escape does have a dud of a 12V, and when I had a Mach E lots of reports there too. Feels like general quality control on them has slipped the past years.
I don't think RAN is using these, but saw them on Out of Spec recently https://www.xcharge.us/product/netzeroseries They use a battery, primarily as a buffer so they can be tapped into a more normal 20-80a circuit, recharge slowly, but still output DCFC. You would theoretically get a charge or...
I like to give the rock on sign  , at a minimum for the other Red Canyons. Nearly did today and then remembered I'm in a gas loaner while mine's in for service
?
Rivian needs places to see their vehicles in person and take test drives (where available). I wouldn't have mine today if it weren't for the space nearby. I think they should absolutely combine this with service centers if it makes sense.
I went with the closest option, I think R2 will happen, they seem to be on that trajectory. But R3 will be dependent on success there, otherwise we could very well see them getting bought up if the R2 can't hold things on it's own.
