Yeah, pick up a nice 10 or 12 gauge cord to reduce the voltage drop. I keep a 75ft 10awg marine grade in my frunk for whenever I need it. https://amzn.to/3RmGih0
Thrilled to see one in Mass! But we desperately need charging in northern new england where there are no CCS fast chargers in most of maine and northern NH where all the great dirt roads and camp sites are
You have a charger. It's built in to your truck. All you're debating is what connects AC to your truck so it can charge. Sure, bigger plugs and circuits are faster, but if you really don't drive much, plenty are just fine just using a normal 120v plug. Just realize if you were to go on a long...
I probably would go with factory PPF for convenience if it was offered.
But as we all know paint from the factory is far from perfect, and and aftermarket PPF install will usually do full paint correction before covering in PPF, so that might still be preferred.
Remember the bed compressor was to be an add-on option. And you can hear the little thing run when you use it. It has absolutely nothing to do with the suspension compression. And from the label you can see the suspension system is also 10x the pressure.
Just to update, I am still super thrilled with my Peak mount and the perfect location right in view. The top dash loosened up a bit which caused it to sag, and that was solved by adding a piece of VHB to the top of the mount in addition to the VHB on the bottom, so that everything stays stuck...
My parents are becoming excellent Rivian spotters, in addition to the silver R1T in Guilford a few days ago, they just spotted a white one parked on green hill in Madison. I guess CT is doing well with deliveries!
I got approved for MORE-EV yesterday too, I get the feeling with their lack of responses someone finally decided to clear out their inbox and approve us all at once.
Anyone here with a silver R1T in CT? My parents excitedly told me they spotted one in Guilford today.
Super helpful, thanks. For reference, their valuation is $71500. It's supposed to be on the base price of the vehicle.
When I got my Model 3, I was taxed for nearly the full price, even though things like primium and autopilot were add ons at the time. I was able to submit the moroney sticker...
Rivian handled all the RMV registering for me, in two days from finishing the 8 steps, I was impressed.
But I just got my excise bill from the city, $1100. Ouch. They wasted no time. And I just paid them for the tesla I traded. Shouldn't it be prorated?
Yeah after getting the VT house and needing to drive up a steep curvy icy road every week and then down unplowed rutty dirt road, I rushed to get chains for my Model 3, because I was worried my brand new Hakkapellitas were still not enough. The Nokians definitely saved me many times but I never...
Nope, neither were me!
Yesterday I drove back from CT 84 to 90 to 93. Today usual commute into boston on 93.
I'm absolutely slammed with work and moving house and stuff, but hopefully we can all get together later this summer.
I've been working on it for over a month now. They seem to email back every two weeks asking for another document. Seems very manual unlike the more typical MORE-EV program. I still haven't seen actual confirmation that it is approved, and I won't believe it till I have a check in my hands...
I just ordered TVwraps from amazon for headlights and front bumper (sorry didn't see this thread till now)
Can't beat the price. I've done this for previous cars where I worry the headlights will get pitted and lose clarity. I report back when I install, which might be a while before I have a...
All evidence I see continues to solidify the theory that if you reach out to rivian and ask them to note on your account that you are flexible in configuration and delivery location, you get a solid extra chance of getting a truck early. And I think the standard 21" wheels are a good bump as...
