  1. Charging Extension Cables?

I am the last one to tell anyone not to get any kind of charging cable or adapter, but I have never had the need for a level 2 extension cord. It's rare to find a 240 plug to begin with outside of a building that you can use, in most cases it is well covered with J1772 chargers that are easy to...
  2. Snow Tires for the 21s (and chains and socks)

That was my plan, but rivian is not able to sell you wheels, with or without tires. Many of us have tried. And the stock off-road tires would not do well on icy roads. Another issue is the 20's are a much smaller diameter tire, so the truck needs to be reprogrammed by service not only to accept...
  3. Snow Tires for the 21s (and chains and socks)

It all depends on where you are and your situation. In my case, I need to go up extremely steep curvy road to get home, as well as unplowed dirt road that is often solid packed ice. I just barely made it several times last winter with brand new unstudded hakkapalittas on my model 3. Our wrangler...
  4. Snow Tires for the 21s (and chains and socks)

Possibly, not sure I will stud or not, but I need GOOD snow tires. Hakkas are usually the best, but if there was a decent better size/rating match I would consider.
  5. Snow Tires for the 21s (and chains and socks)

Yeah I'm the heaviest thing the truck will be transporting in the winter. I might have to pay a visit to my nearest Nokian dealer. Any other tire suggestions?
  6. Snow Tires for the 21s (and chains and socks)

Rivian continues to refuse to sell me a 20" set of wheels for use with snow tires, so I am now researching options to swap the tires on my 21" road for the season. The problem is NO other tires are made in their 275/55-21 size. I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions. For example digging...
  7. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

Anyone else showing up to the Bethel show in the morning? See you there!
  8. Dust buildup from driving on gravel roads

There are definitely several holes below the bed for drainage, in fact at the right angle you can see daylight in some gaps. But I wanted to mention to be sure your tonneau cover closes fully and squeezes the seal against the tailgate a bit. Sometimes it loses its calibration a bit, and you can...
  9. [MA] MOR-EV $7500 Rebate Guide

What an informative guide! It's important to note that responses to emails often take one to TWO weeks so some patience is required, apparently the team tasked with this works on something completely different. It certainly would have helped me, instead I had to waste weeks back and forth as...
  10. JD Power / 3rd party survey of initial quality

I got a survey from JD Power just a few weeks ago, about my Rivian experience. And I love surveys, so I filled it all out. 90% of the questions were about the dealership, and salesperson experience. I knew JD Power was BS but wow, the questions they were asking reminded me just how horrible the...
  11. Show off your Level 2 Home Charger installs here

I was determined to find the cheapest 32A charge solution on Amazon, and I am totally thrilled with it. Love the live power display. It also has a thicker, longer cable than the Rivian charger. Mounted between garage doors so it can reach front or back either bay, and parking outside too...
  12. Texas SOLD: WTS 20” A/T Wheels (Matte Dark Bronze)

I may be interested because I would like a set of 20s for winter tires, and I don't think Rivian will sell them for a while, but you somehow managed to get them from service? I agree with the others curious what service charged you. I would obviously need TPMS as well. But I would consider your...
  13. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

Well that part might have been easy but the insides must have been difficult to paint... [runs out to look] Oh, I never realized they are already lighter grey inside. Hah, well that certainly works perfectly for your truck! Maybe I go find some dark green plasti-dip...
  14. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

Did you paint the inside of your 21s to match your truck? I love the look!
  15. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

Forgot to post here, who else was at the Hannafords in Lebanon on Friday? I guess these trucks are starting to get a bit more common.
  16. Help me narrow down my portable charger choices?

Yes, I use the included rivian charger plugged into a 14-50 all the time outside in my driveway, there are no issues doing so. I keep my Tesla charger and all adapters in the truck for travel charging.
  17. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

I haven't heard of any test drives in New England, most of us just had to buy sight unseen :) Where are you in VT?
  18. Second row EMF measurements?

And I am an electrical engineer that regularly makes electrical emission measurements. Dangerous radiation emissions are hundreds of times higher when flying at high altitudes. And seriously, a layer of foil will help shield some of those emissions. Thankfully there are several layers of metal...
  19. Time for a Lube Party... Dry Lube = answer to the tonneau cover issues

I was told by a Rivian employee that the secret to the Tonneau was to keep it clean, especially keep sand out, and use the air compressor to blow and and dirt off before closing. So yes.
