AC can have a very similar negative affect on gas mileage in an ICE car - just that most don't have a screen showing you your efficiency. On my Audi A6's I could turn the air on and off and watch the fuel efficiency metric slump almost immediately.
I agree with and get all of that - but in certain areas, I think it pays to "go outside" for a solution while they focus on the core needs. I think great audio is one to "leave to the experts" FWIW.
