I'll admit to becoming a bit enamored with the new EX60, but pricing a P10 with the options I need want pushes the total cost to $79k. Getting a little to rich for my blood.
Rivian has publicly acknowledged that currently it can only sync with the primary account holders google calendar and not shared calendars - it's a permissions issue from what I've been told that they are/will continue to work with Google on while they also work top integrate more calendar like...
As what traditional ICE vehicle? There are scores of cars with awful battery placement including the front wheel well, under fixed carpeting in the trunk, that you couldn't open when the battery was dead, The Q7 and Cayenne which required partially removing the front seat. My Fiat 500 was under...
Didn't say there weren't - just offered up a couple of known drivers as to why some manufactures choose what they do. For the record, I'm opposed to electronic, at least solely electronic, door handles. I think it's an over-engineered potential point of failure and certainly a safety risk. If...
But it's related - they weren't going to create a mechanical linkage tied to the inside handle if they didn't build one on the outside. One begat the other.
Range, Range & Range + Perception.
Aerodynamics: Traditional door handles create a surprising amount of drag and EV manufacturers are chasing every fraction of reducing CoD they can find.
Weight: Mechanical linkages, rods, and cables running through the door add weight and constrain door...
Normally that's true- but the case here is the 20's are all-terrain rubber compounds which matters (stickier/softer compounds, deeper and more complex tread blocks and more tread squirm, and stiffer sidewalls).
And while I don't know for certain, I would expect that the 20" AT's are also...
I read your comment earlier today and it really stuck with me and thought, "this HAS to be the reason..." and the indignation over not being able to open the doors manually never really manifested with 99% of driver's as they never used the child safety lock features. I'm in that group for sure...
No Rivian on the road currently has (nor ever will have) their upcoming RAP chip that comes along with the "205 GB/s of memory bandwidth that Senior VP of Electrical Hardware Vidya Rajagopalan described as key for AI applications." - Jose's article from this morning. It's maybe the one thing...
All "insider" indications so far seem to indicate P12 availability in the US "after November 2026 - maybe Feb '27" and pricing starting above $70k. Fully-optioned plus destination and taxes, based on the P10 I spec'd (which w/tax and dest would be about $75K)- I could easily see P12 at @ 80-85k
Perhaps using something like CalendarBridge? https://riviantrackr.com/news/how-to-use-rivian-assistants-google-calendar-integration-if-you-dont-have-google-calendar/
