I noted it, it drove me batsh-t crazy, but a tiny seed of empathy hit me and I elected not to comment. Frankly, I'm disappointed in myself for the restraint.
I commute from Arvada into downtown every day, and the efficiency hit is most notable before the battery warms up. I'll get around 1.3-1.8 mpkw when the battery is below 38, but when it is warmed up, the difference is not that noticeable. I've driven to Copper Mountain and back in 4 degrees and...
Nevermind. I just found your other post: I purchased a 3rd party EW, XCare, last March when I was at 55K miles. I’ve filed 3 claims so far, totaling over $14K in repairs. I’m now at 72K miles.
Forgive me if you have already stated this elsewhere, but which EW did you use? I'm planning to hold on to my R1S "forever" and a good EW will help in that cause.
ClearVU and CamWash make aftermarket attachments that can "T" into your existing sprayer. Some are model specific, but they make a universal one. Not sure if anyone has tried them yet, but for $100, it might be worth being a guinea pig for some of you more creative/ambitious types...
I had to give up on the Rivian wave; too many Rivians in the Denver area, and my kids kept making fun of me since no one waved back... Sorry to those Colorado folks I don't wave to now.
Increase your tire pressure to the specified psi. That should help considerably. Running it at 45 will eat into your efficiency, in my experience. With the G1 Quad and the Goodyear Wrangler A/T 20s, I got about 2.35 for the same period of time that you looked through.
I'd have to echo Canyonlands and Craters of the Moon. Both entirely unexpected in their breadth and beauty. Just east, in Colorado, the Colorado National Monument is also a gorgeous drive through. Sand Dunes is awesome, as well, but I grew up going there several times every summer, so it is not...
Good to know, as I've had to go down to Salida for the RAN station by Safeway to charge too many times. Buena Vista is a lot more convenient when heading south! Thanks!
For what it is worth, I bent my tie rod on Hagerman Pass, but it did not fail to the point where I could not drive without fixing it. It was replaced at the Denver service shop subsequently.
