There probably should be a release mechanism inside the gear tunnel that would allow it to open when the vehicle is in park so that my grandkids can let themselves out when I stop. ?

Daddy Doug DeMuro just did a review of the ID.4; he was unimpressed - said it was designed to be the buyer’s first EV, hence no regen mode; etc. He also complained about the laggy main screen and lack of acceleration. He would have lost his Wheaties if he’d tried to charge it.
