Iām nowhere near Chicago - but Iāll go there if thatās my first opportunity to drive an R1T. And I agree, reservation holders should definitely be given priority.
Oh Iām so glad to see Iām not the only one with this rule - if a company doesnāt have enough concern about their public image to hire an editor to review all of their publications, what makes us believe theyāll be concerned enough to actually make a great product? And the day Rivian publishes...
Oh this gives me a great idea - Iāll have the grandson ride in the gear tunnel on long trips so I donāt have to listen to non-stop Curious George episodes! :CWL:
^^^This. I currently own a Ram pickup; FCA has employees who are active on an outside forum that I follow for FCA vehicles. Those employees not only maintain membership accounts on the forum, but they actively seek to help anyone who posts a problem or issue with any FCA vehicle (they offer to...
My guess is that the state stickers are simply a convenient way to refer to each pre-production vehicle without having to memorize license plates. Iād bet most have never been in the state whose sticker they bear.
By secure, I mean in case of a break in - if someone were to break the front window glass and press the door unlock button, would that then allow them to open the frunk, gear tunnel, and tailgate (the last two via the buttons on top of the bed rail)? Or will access to those be controlled via...
Just like JeremyMKE, I am quite proud of my parallel parking ability and show it off every chance I get - which is maybe once a year. Iāll gladly take Sentry Mode for the camera system and Apple CarPlay over any self parking capability.
Cutouts on the shell would definitely allow access to all the controls on the top rails - but it looks like there are tie downs in the top of the rails too, so there would have to be so many cutouts in the base rails of the shell that the strength of the shell could be compromised.
With all of these controls (tailgate latch; gear tunnel latch; etc.) on the top surface of the bed rails it looks like those of us who might want a camper shell will be SOL as the shell would sit right on top of all those controls.
This makes me wonder how many Rivian employees are members on this forum. Which is fine, but they should identify themselves if theyāre actively posting as opposed to just lurking.
Lots of jobs posted at Rivian, but nothing in Oklahoma - or even Texas. Hope they donāt forget us out here when it comes to delivery/service.

Did you mean Jan ā22 or Nov ā22? And I too am sorely disappointed that the 400 mile range R1T wonāt be available at launch as they had previously stated.
