Most things in my life are function over form but not cars. The look and appeal of a vehicle is what drives me to purchase. Yes it needs the other functional things but if it is not appealing I won't touch it. considering what Ferrari just unveiled I am in the 'Not touch it' camp. It just...
The quality of the R2 will be similar to the R1. They are reducing the cost of the vehicle by removing certain features that cost money. This is what plenty of brands do. No powered frunk closure, no fancy wood inside, no air suspension etc etc.
Based on the reviews of people who have...
I was pleasantly surprised how it did what I needed it too. Texting both reading and responding as well as navigation inputs. I barely touch my Spotify as it just plays through playlists with ease. Siri does these things fine as well. It isn't perfect but it is enough for me.
Plenty of companies are not giving away chargers anymore. The thought was that EV buyers already have one so why give something away. It is like companies that give free road side don't provide spares, it's just not a good use of money. Not saying I agree but somewhat makes sense.
The question really is do people agree the R1S is too small. Third row could be removed to save cost and increase back storage space but a market survey would show if the R1S is too small or not. It sells well enough right now considering the market.
I read the title and was just laughing, cramped? The R1S has plenty of room for the second row. My 6'5" father in law sits in the passenger seat with it really far back and my 5'9" wife can sit behind him now problems at all. The car feels big to me inside. Yes the 3rd row isn't 'huge' but...
Tesla is the one with the short cables, not a problem for EVGO, EA, Chargepoint, Shell, IONNA etc etc. if Tesla just gave us a longer cable it wouldn't matter either.
I think it is great that rivian planned ahead by having extra capacity in the ground at their RAN locations. add more ports and let's getting going.
With regards to the location of the charge port, the cables need to be long enough to not care since there is no standard for location, just like...
Funny anything over 10 is just too loud for my taste. I find the Gen2 system is a little less 'crisp' than the Gen1 but it is fine for me. I am not audio geek and just like music to make the time pass. Typically my volume is at 4-6 only going up to 10 when 'necessary'
Your statements are just guesses. I don't think Rivian knows yet what the plans are with regards to the R3 and scaling for R2. If the R2 sees the demand they want then yes the Georgia plant will do lots of R2s, including exports to Europe. If the demand isn't there then R3 might get fast...
Considering how many things would suddenly have issues I don't think this is likely to happen anytime soon. maybe there is a new version that has better heat management, power delivery and such that people would have to adapt to.
Plenty of good choices out there for home charging solutions. Tesla, Rivian, Grizzl-E, Chargepoint etc etc.
I have owned a Voltie (formally Jukebox) for 3 years, works perfectly.
