  1. Awaiting delivery on a r1s tri-motor thinking about canceling due to apparent reliability issues?

I wouldn't shy away due to the perceived reliability issues. People go online to complain not to praise. Having owned mine for over 2 years the quality has been on par if not better than most vehicles I have owned. Having a problem vs having a dead truck is not the same thing. 'My window...
  2. $24,950 SLATE EV Truck / SUV Info & News

Ugly design, low specs, very small market. Best of luck but I will stick with my Rivians.
  3. Class-action lawsuit for long service wait times?

Class action assumes there is a large number of unsatisfied Rivian owners. Based on everything we read that doesn't seem to be the case. Are there challenges? Sure thing. Are they getting better, yes. Did you buy a new product from a new company but still want to complain? Apparently so...
  4. Will you convert your R1 reservation into an order or are you reconsidering it?

I haven't but most likely will because I just picked up a Gen2-R1S tri-motor. I may still get an R2 but that really depends on all sorts of variables about my personal life and family.
  5. A Beautiful Disaster — Rivian Is Not Ready for Prime Time

Sorry about your issues but do you have a list of what they were and how they were not resolved? My Gen1 R1S was pretty much problem free for 2 years. My few interactions with service have been fine, not stellar but all good.
  6. Class-action lawsuit for long service wait times?

What type of service? Where are you located? Is mobile an option? Not enough details to act on here.
  7. Range anxiety before purchasing trimotor R1S?

You will be fine. I did this with a quad motor all the time and just switched to a Tri-Motor. The extra range it offers would make this no problems at all.
  8. Anyway to disable Youtube?

Don't you lock the kids in the frunk when you stop? Easy way to solve it.
  9. Rivian buy back: what should my next vehicle be?

Audis have always served me well but I would imagine the range on a Q6/Q8 Etron might be a deal breaker. BMW EVs are always a good choice but not everyone likes the IX style.
  10. Rivians for Blue Origin

That is great and could be amazing but I don't think Gayle King helped with that....
  11. Rivians for Blue Origin

Glad to see some Rivian's but I am totally against this type of crap. This isn't done for science but for publicity. I would applaud them if they took their millions and fed some hungry kids or some homeless veterans.
  12. So Nice Had to Do It Twice

When I bought mine they weren't offering leasing. I leased this time because the offer was amazing and I am not someone who keeps cars for a long time.
  13. So Nice Had to Do It Twice

Lease, major equity in my Gen1 QM and plenty of incentives. Saved about 28% off what I was paying before which is amazing.
  14. So Nice Had to Do It Twice

I have had my Gen1 QM R1S since Feb-23, and have loved it. Last week Rivian made me an offer I just couldn't refuse, I jumped at it and replaced my Forrest Green Gen1 with this: Tri-Motor Gen2 R1S, picked it up Tuesday. Amazing trade in value for my R1S, great rebates just perfect. A few...
  15. 2025.10 Update Now Installing

Just installed the latest but prior updates did not impact the phone functions at all.
  16. Rear Ended - Thankful for R1T Safety

Glad you are ok, the R1 will get fixed and back on the road soon hopefully.
  17. Rivian work week reduced to 2-3 days until inventory comes down

The impact of the tariffs not just on Rivian directly but indirectly. People making less money, market insanity, etc. etc can cause them to have a slow down. Rivian will be fine in a year the R2 will begin to crush the Model Y and things will look better. Just have to survive this nightmare...
