I am currently managing it by setting the thermostat to 11-12 degrees cooler than the desired temperature, except when this doesn’t work and I have to set the thermostat to the actual desired temperature. lol Still sorting out how to keep the dog warm without frying or freezing him.
After two weeks with my Tri coming from a Gen 1 quad, I concur fully with your observations. The power is there, the headlights are amazing (think twisty roads winding through deer-laden woods). But, living in the north where it has been quite cold, I would have to add my disappointment with...
I’ve only had my GEN two R1T for a few days now, but pet mode has failed two out of two times. In each instance the cabin temperature was set to 72° (OAT around 20f) and pet mode ran through. It’s upper emergency limit. I have to set it to 64 to keep it from running through 80.
Agreed, it is LOUD! It seems Rivian could have done better. I have not driven my new Gen2 much yet, but the estimated range hit when charging is much larger than my Gen1 was.
I just picked up my Gen 2 two days ago after running my Gen 1 for two and a half years without a garage in NY’s Catskill mountains. It was 24 when I pre-heated last evening and I was surprised at how quickly the temp came up to 66. It then slowed markedly and I did not wait for it to reach the...
Not having the under dash power for my phone is going to bother me more than the loss of the passenger under-seat drawer. I feel like I’m getting nickeled and dimed moving from my Gen 1 to Gen 2.
That is the plan! I’m not sure if the wrist band can be reprogrammed. I know from others posting here that the all-weather floor mats will not fit. Aside from the two emergency kits, there is not much else.
On Wednesday, I am trading my launch edition R1T for a new tri-motor R1T. Of course, I will take the carabiner, key cards, and original mats with me, but wonder if they will expect the tire patch kit, wrist band and medical kit that came with the launch edition vehicles?.
