I wonder if buying a few sets of the Aero covers and having them "machined" would be an option, just for the center cap area or maybe slightly larger...
This come up all the time and folks understandably get upset. What is best for you in the short term, may not be best for the product in the long term...So think a little less about "me, me, me" and a bigger product picture. You bought a v1.0 car from a v1.0 company in a v1.1 industry...
The metallic "fleck" looks like water spots for some reason...I was checking out a few metallic paint jobs from other car companies, and they all seem to have the fleck much smaller which adds to the depth and not a perma water spot. Maybe I need to look closer in person at LG again...
I like everything about it, but the green on top of the dash. Wish they had gone with the more dark/gray vegan leather used in other areas of FE...OC and BM both look to me to have the same color there...would have prefered that. Need to check it out again though - hope there is an opportunity...
For the love of all things holy can we see the contacts, receiving, and making phones calls...No video review has shown it. Texts? Alexa make a call? Etc.
I spy with my little eye...x2 sunglasses! I have seen some womens huge ones that might not fit under the seat, but you could fit 6 pair in the side door pocket...
There is a pocket in the driver and passenger side door, right? Rivian or maybe someone here suggested a water bottle might fit. Can't you keep you case in there and use to store sunglasses in when off?
Hmm…They literally just started shipping a v1.0 product as an absolute startup. Your expectations were obviously not set properly and you are correct, likely not a fit.
@OutofSpecKyle It was a little hard to keep track, were you ever in all purpose/standard mode, standard height, standard regen, standard traction control going downhill?
What is the UI like for the BT phone in terms of contacts? Can Alexa choose one or we looking at a screen and swiping while driving?
Thanks for this, very fun as we all wait for ours!
I think its funny that all their customers are giddy getting a $20k-ish asset and way under market value...Rivian did screw up, but likely their focus has been on a whole slew of other things, and push came to shove that the economics of the pricing were just so out of whack...but they lose...
So Rivian, a brand new company, now eats a couple hundred million and their supporters cheer because they profited, likely $20K per vehicle, and got a car way below market value due to a mistaken pricing priorities...As they say, with customers like these...lol
What is interesting is that Rivian got stuck when they announced pricing too early. The cars are clearly worth more than they are selling them for. So a lose lose for Rivian...
Lose A: All pre-order people are getting way more vehicle than they are paying for. They can turn around and sell...
It's not inflation. The trucks are worth more than what they were charging when you comp them. They are also having to pay through supply constraints, labor constraints, and yes some inflationary pressure. Why would they sell at a larger than needed loss to their competitors for a better...
I guess that is my confusion. Were people not aware this was a startup? A lot of the reason I am here...Seems like a lot of people on this thread should have stuck with established brands vs. a 1.0 car from a 1.0 company in a v1.1 product category (EVs)...
I just configured a Land Rover Defender for more than an R1S I have, and want it 0% compared...
Yes timing & messaging off, value is not. I guess people need to make the decision that works best for them, but maybe take a few days.
