I am confused. They have never charged the first or second price. So you have not paid anything. The cost to produce the car has risen and competitors are charging an in-line or higher amount. I guess they did make mistake with setting the price far too low. TFL truck and Doug Demuro both...

When you compare the Rivian to a new Tesla or Lucid (or anticipated GMC Hummer), they were too cheap. Costs have gone up across all cars. Folks are 100% entitled to cancel. and evaluate cst/benefit, but they are pricing with the market. Just because you put a $1000 deposit down does not set...

I always thought they were way too cheap...A Rav 4 prime is 7-8 months out and some dealers are charging an $8K "dealer adjustment" Delays with the increase is not a great look, but still excited for my R1S

The length of the SUV is a big plus (shorter) I think it looks better 7 seats might get used once in a blue moon The truck has so much utility though with a bed I am getting the SUV, if I like it and the Rivian experience, buy the truck 2024/25, and have both for the family to use...

Lol, sounds like you need a quad turbo w/extra low profile tires for extra gas burn...haha, our grandkids will laugh. Fire up the ole' gas burner to drive 3 miles and back....Need a turbo for that! Make that DUAL turbos!

Confused, why does anyone would use old RF tech, when one could use either cell, BT, 802.11, GPS, etc... Homelink is 1950's tech... Carplay is 2010's tech... Folks here keep forgetting they are buying a technology stack for transportation, which is maybe too new for folks to grok yet, but...

It would be nice if Rivian stated that x amount of sales centers have all the colors, feel free to drop by...I am sure a few of us would be willing to fly ~2-3 hours to make a decision and mini-vacation near the sales centers. I think they are planning this, but as orders are happening, people...

Awesome! Text, calls - making/receiving, VMs, contacts, etc. Not sure I have ever seen the communication side of the UI.

I would prefer to buy a car like for most of the last 100 years that does not get UI or performance updates from the company... Instead I'll buy a Rivian and complain because I like the old broken model...and don't like to pay for future improvements. Too bad young people can't afford Rivians...

You are incorrect, and wildly so, they ALL locked in hard because it made business sense and they had a vision not 12 months down the road but 120 Pretty confident RJ can ignore the noise as well and build a great company. We’ll see.
