Ratchet straps come in two flavors and I like both. I used the retractable for moving an engine block and subframe last week. They are easy to deploy but typically don't hold as much.
The classic variety (the one you have to thread, and actually know how to do it) are better for lumber (I like...
My reason for keeping the cord short is a matter of practicality. These low number gauge, three wire cords are big and heavy. I'd rather not have to carry any more than I need. A 100 ft seems like overkill for most situations so I'd measure twice and buy once.
I corrected some minor PPF stains using a rubbing compound like Mequiar's, but I have a few types and I can't remember which "cut level" I used, likely the gentle stuff. This was on 3M film but my other vehicles have XPEL Ultimate and I have not seen any issues.
EDIT: quick search and I'm...
The geek in me would like this, but what exactly would I do with the data? Anticipate issues? Eek out more miles?
On some of my ICE cars, I use EcuTek to log all kinds of parameters to a laptop while driving. Data is sent to a tuner and sent back is an ECU patch I can upload. I'm mostly doing...
In my case, I think the window seals are the culprit. At least these need to be addressed before I chase other issues.
Where exactly do you apply the 1/2" material in the window frame? It looks like the idea is to cause the window to fit tighter against the existing seal, which would mean the...
After the outage, I had to do all sorts of dinking around with my phone to get it back to normal. Basic stuff. Forget device and then try adding, sometimes PAAK first, sometimes audio. I don't remember having any issues before... maybe I need to read the manual?
Yes, 20s with stock tires are at least 1" larger in diameter, so there's a firmware update to go with it. But, haven't we been hearing that it's like $60 for the mobile tire swap (sans recal?). The firmware update seems expensive. I haven't had the recalibrate done yet for my swap and probably wont.
That may be true in some cases (coincidentally) but you want to follow the door jamb sticker or the owners manual, which give recommendations for the vehicle using a specific tire size and sometimes even a load scenario. The tire sidewall doesn't know the application.
This is indeed confusing. The original EV Sportline instructions, and even currently on one of their YouTube videos says to torque the TP55 bolts to 100 ft-lbs. The instructions now say 80 ft-lbs. DCE says 95 ft-lbs for the same bolts in their slider video.
I used 100 ft-lbs (because that's...
I'm currently running my 22s with the 20" config that was loaded when I had the SC do the swap in January. If there's something off about the cameras, it's not immediately noticable. I don't want to know ... in case I can't un-see it.
