Congrats! Love the colour. I'm trying to convince a friend to get a dual large R1S. I have a quad r1s. It's been relatively trouble free. For example, it went in for service a few weeks ago and they scratched up one of the wheels. I sent a text and the manager called and sent mobile to replace...
I agree it's odd but what seems odd to us might be a trigger for some. I got rid of a perfect car mostly because there wasn't a way to turn the radio off at start. So, every time I got in the car, I had to turn it off. Some will think I'm crazy but it got old quickly for me.
OP-I appreciate the insight/opinion. Most of us like CP. The reality is that there will always be something that will be "lacking" in every car made. I never liked the glass roof but it wasn't enough to stop me from buying it. I dont see CP in a Rivian and I'm ok with that.
If you are interested in the R2, just wait till it's out. There will be lots of reviews that include off-road reviews. Then you can base your decision on facts.
Mate! Hats off to you for having the gumption to do this. And here I was complaining about my 30 minute drive to the local SC. What an adventure! Please, share your progress as I am emotionally vested in your success at this point. All the best!
I only considered the Tacan because I was coming from a 911. It's a great car. They have somehow nailed the Porsche DNA in an EV. The tech isn't where Rivian is. My biggest reason is I needed to slow down and get something practical.
Loads of Rivians where I live so no one waves. However, I was stopped outside a Trader Joes recently by a nice couple that was visiting from Normal, IL. They are huge Rivian fans. We had a nice conversation.
To show the speedo about 20mph lower than it actually is, when my wife is in the car. If that's not possible then to flow in more sound so I cant hear her complain.
I have had consistent luck contacting the SC manager when I needed. I just message through the app IF I need. I only pulled that card twice in almost 2 years of ownership. Very responsive and very positive experience in both cases.
