OP-depends on your risk tolerance. I was comfortable in getting my R1S two years ago. No major issues to speak of. SC has been great. Agree that R2 is a new model but it's safe to assume that a lot of the R1 DNA will be in the R2. I have a reservation for a R2 and no reservations in getting one...
Sounds like you had a lot of issues. Posting here without exhaustive details (which is virtually impossible) on what exactly went wrong and how you felt will frustrate you more because most people here will not get the full picture but still try to help. Only you know every issue and how you...
There seems to be an issue with the BT on some of the cars while others work just fine. My R1S will blink the rear break light when I'm about 20-30 feet away and open the doors when I'm 3-5 feet away. I usually keep my phone (iPhone 15) in either my front trouser pocket or suit breast pocket...
OP-that is absolutely horrible. I know it's very frustrating but I would politely escalate and document as much as possible. This may not make you feel better but whenever I have had issues, Rivian has stepped up. All the best.
I admire your attitude. I wish everyone had that. Sad to see you part ways with your Rivian but love the Tycan. I actually cross shopped that when I got my R1. All the best to you.
Dean-glad you made it. I always plan a back up to the intended charging destination. Rivian should give better advice but that's the state of customer service in the US. Every time I go to Japan, it just makes me wish we had something half as good. They are the best as CX.
Mobile replaced my original 12v within a day because I had a business trip out of town. That was about 4 months into my ownership. A year later, Rivian called & said they would like to replace the 12v. I explained that it had already been replaced. They explained that it was part of a campaign...
Agree but not sure he will. He's a brilliantly flawed man. Im not a fan but cant deny what he has achieved. I'm not sure if I had that level of success that I would be able to let go.
Always good to have a VP handy for occasions like these. Seriously though I want Tesla to do well just like I want all American companies to do well. I actually invested in Tesla in the early days. I agree that Elon has his fair share of blame for the decline but it's also a lot to do with BYD...
