Is the camera showing the lane next to you on the driver dash screen? Also, I had put my beach pass on my bumper and had to move it when I discovered it was causing sensor issues.
Okay, now I'm curious... If you have Connect+ why did you use your phone as a hotspot to download the update? The whole point of Connect+ is to provide a full-time Internet connection.
If you had to use your phone as a hotspot it would seem you don't have Connect+. Connect+ users are updated first and (my understanding) is that it is required for Rivian Assistant.
Sent my first text. Tried to add a question mark by saying "Question mark" as I do on my phone. . came out "Question mark". Still, pretty easy and kept me from pulling over to text.
Just got the call out of the blue for a warranty replacement of my 12 volt battery that has never given me any problems in two and a half years. Luckily it's in Mobile fix so it's no big deal.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that all modern anti-lock/traction control brake systems already have a form of servo power to actuate the physical brakes. I watch them in action all the time with people who don't turn off traction control when they drive on the beach.
As for the cost...
While at the dump today (sorry, Town Recycling Center) a fellow in a Jeep told me how much he liked the look of our R1T and was asking me about having an EV. One thing that i really like is single pedal driving. My wife drives a Volvo 90 Recharge Hybrid and, although it took me a while to...
As a beach ranger I pull people out all the time. As others have indicated, once you use soft shackles you'll never go back to hard. A word of caution on kinetic lines is that once you load them up there is no fine control of the tow, they simply unload with a jolt. We carry both and use the...
Even though I carry a spare, I also carry the same thing as Volvo delivers with their new EVs and Hybrids. A bottle of Green Slime (Volvo's is white) and a compressor. It's a lifesaver.
I take my R1T over sand frequently, but just today as my wife and I were coming home from playing paddle, she said "Turn here, I want to see what all the construction is about."
Good thing my truck is already filthy from the weather because we ended up in pretty much completely "off-road"...
Based on experience check carefully under you wipers in case they left a note you can't see. Had a similar parking episode with my R1T, my wife posted on a local Facebook page and someone said they saw the guy leave a note. We found it under the wiper buried behind the hood. Odds are slim but...
Green slime and a small compressor. I walked out to my R1T after 10" of snow and then freezing rain to find a flat. Couldn't get to the spare in the bed as it was frozen in. Used the on-board compressor, drove it into my barn, and watched it go flat in 12 hours. I did some research then picked...
Maybe it's just my imagination, but I've been living with snow and ice for a week now and never once felt that the Regen was providing any less stability than straight anti-lock brakes. The braking felt just like I was using the brake pedal instead of one pedal driving, and since they're both...
Interesting, thanks. I tested this today in my R1T and it definitely stays in the ride height setting until I change it. For years I kept it on the middle setting until there was complete reset by Rivian service to fix a cell modem connectivity issue. The service guy left it in Auto and for...
I won't pretend to understand how the Auto setting causes you to "prematurely wearing my tires out which costs me a lot more than a little range ". I will say that on my 2023 Dual Performance R1T when I turn Auto off it is still off the next time I use my truck. Personally I like it on but I...
