For the first time in 2 years of ownership my GPS synced the map with reality almost immediately after getting out of the vehicle deck after a 2 hour ferry ride to the mainland. Usually it would spend 10 to 15 minutes placing me in various locations (including the Atlantic Ocean) before figuring...
Another casting issue here. Android casting used to work great but no longer. Not sure when it broke as I only use it when killing time waiting for the ferry.
Interesting. My Regen drops to Low in Snow Mode. We've had a bunch of snow/the/freeze periods and I'm really pleased with how the Regen braking, probably in conjunction with the disc brakes, handles the anti-lock scenario and keeps my R1 straight. I agree there are no torque issues in Snow Mode.
A couple weeks ago our lights and toaster oven started turning off and on. I realized we had lost a leg of the power feed to the house. The power company responded quickly and traced it to the main breaker by our meter. After 25 years in salt air the connection had corroded and loosened. Our...
I've had my latches frozen in after a rain-to-sleet event. No big deal as I've had car door latches freeze on a number of different vehicles. I just banged on each of the R1T handles until they popped out.
The day I'm required to use or pay for FSD is the day I locate, purchase, and rehab my favorite vehicle ever... a 1996 Tahoe. Maybe I'll convert one to an EV.
I just like to drive.
Interesting. Our Volvo Hybrid has a clip on the left side of the windshield. We asked the dealer how to remove it thinking it was used during the manufacturing process. They explained it was for parking passes, etc. that might need to be displayed. Turns out to be a good idea.
Not sure about.Gen 2, but on Gen 1 when I had. PAAK issue I sat in the truck with just my Owner phone, no key card in the console, and did the deletes. Then from my Owner phone I went to Security -> Keys and hit the Share Vehicle button at the bottom of the screen. Then send the invite.
BTW it...
These are a good solution where there is a need for speed. I like that my R1T is fast but it doesn't require fast Internet access. $350 for a mesh vs $13 for a 2.4/5g extender made this an obvious choice. If the extender hadn't worked I would have returned it and spent the $350, but surprisingly...
No solution for that, but my R1T is too far from my Xfinity router for any signal. For 13 bucks I tried one of these range extenders I put in in the corner of a window in my barn pointing back at my house. The extender is too far from the router to pick up the 5g but extends the 2.4 to my R1T...
