Maybe related... I realized my home wifi wasn't connected and went to reboot the entertainment center. Just as I pushed the buttons a message popped onto the screen that the navigation database would be updated on the background the next time I connect to wifi.
If you're going to switch I would check Mapfre Ins. if they cover where you live. Their AI pushed me to Safelite who couldn't recalibrate so I went to a certified collision center. Had to lay out $1500 up front for the glass but Mapfre covered it all plus my ferry tix to deliver and retrieve my...
Good to hear. This is a MUCH better option over Chelsea for me coming off the Cape. So far Mobile Service has been excellent for the small issues I've encountered, but I have dreaded the day they tell me I need to visit a SC.
Please take your phone into the store. My brother does consulting for a company that markets video surveillance tied into cell phones within a store's perimeter to study how people shop. All anonymous of course ;)
There was a recent thread about people having bad GPS location reported while in their garage. Not sure if this is from a recent update or the same thing I experience when driving off the ferry when I'm on the interior car deck.
I've had this on my 23 R1T since day 1 every time I exit after our 2 hour ferry ride to the mainland. The mobile tech who comes out to us has the same issue. It's not about acquiring satellites because wife's Volvo and my old Bronco corrected in seconds. Takes 10-15 minutes to correct itself.
Of course the "sociopath" (sic) received $7.5 Billion of our tax dollars to open the Tesla charging network. I figure I may as well get something for my money. To each their own.
I do use Plugshare but have changed all my filters (apps and in my R1T) to high speed and plug type. I'm not sure I would care who runs the charging service. Am I missing something?
Been hit twice. Don't waste your time on anything but a Rivian certified shop as you will end up at one regardless. It doesn't appear too bad and someone else's insurance should be happy to cover it and a rental for the 3 weeks in the shop - especially if you have no medical issues.
Sounds like you need go through a recalibration. The various sensors all need to work together so the computer knows what it is "looking" at. Many vehicles you would never expect need to be recalibrated require one after sensor replacement. A visit to Rivian service is probably needed.
A tip for Rivians on the beach ... Do not raise the chassis until the correct time. After getting stuck put traction boards under the wheels and then, if you are bottomed out, raise the height. Vehicles that can raise themselves off the sand have a huge advantage if they use it correctly.
I'm a Beach Ranger on Nantucket with essentially the same sand as Cape Cod (same glacier :)) and we request 12-15. Sadly I drive an F250 all day but when I take my R1T Dual w/21" wheels out I air down to 20. I have pulled 2 R1S's out, one at 30 and one at 40. The Rivian off-road recommendation...
