Ever since I had my windshield replaced, which also included replacing the Power Distribution Unit (PDU) that failed while the technician was test driving my truck to verify the ACC calibration required by the new windshield, I'm occasionally getting warning lights that appear some time (some...
No, the actual shipping version of the Max Pack wouldn’t have made much of a difference to me and would not have been worth the price.
FYI, I originally had the Max Pack configured for my Jan’20 reservation but that was when it was supposed to be 180kWh. After a certain point, I gave up on the...
I don't have any direct advise to you regarding shops in FL, but from my experience having my windshield replaced, make sure the shop you use can perform the camera calibration otherwise your truck will have to go to a Rivian service center anyway to have that done.
I chose to just have my...
I just got my truck back from the Portland SC as I needed to have my windshield replaced due to a crack in the driver's side upper corner incurred in Aug on the way back home from our Portland<->Key West driving trip. This was going to be covered by my insurance the tune of ~$1700.
Upon...
I must be totally missing something here - how did you add a waypoint to a route using the builtin navigation system? That's a feature I thought was missing...
What exactly do you mean by the tech "put foam on the snap connectors"? He wrapped some foam tape around the speaker connector bodies implying that they are vibrating against some of the supporting structure?
Thanks!
Brian
This is pretty much exactly what I did for our 9000 mi trip from Portland, OR to the Florida Keys and back: Portland->Keys thread.
Being able to do this sort of long trip without planning can't happen soon enough.
Yes, for this sort of trip, it only makes sense to have Pass+ to get the lower rate.
My total charging bill was $1036.83 because I have Pass+ and received some complimentary charges from EA and utilized RAN heavily as I got back to the Western US. Therefore, I consider the cost of the trip to...
Regarding pics, sorry, we didn't take many, which was a departure for me since I enjoy photography. We were more interested in seeing parts of the country we've never seen before, visiting relatives, eating BBQ, and just experiencing the trip and testing the EV waters for a long trip like this...
Total distance driven: 8878 mi
Number of charges: 100
Total kWh consumed: 4273.3 (delivered to vehicle including accessories, etc.)
Efficiency: 2.1 mi/kWh
My partner Kathy and I recently completed a trip from our home in Portland, OR to the Florida Keys and back over the course of 3 weeks...
It says right in the charger manual for the table of required wire gauges, "Cu only".
I had an electrician come out to quote installation and came to find out in our conversation that he intended to use Al wire. I called him back and requested a quote using Cu wire as that was only what I'd...
Glad to see the camera app appear by default on the taskbar after the update. That was the first thing I was going to do since I use the cameras all the time when parking.
Isn't there a lot of noise from the rear (hearing the stuff going on around you not to mention the wind noise) while driving with it open an "audible warning"?
I would highly recommend you reproduce the sound for a technician in order to avoid the disappointment of getting the truck back untouched with a "cannot reproduce" comment.
I follow this for any "noise related" issue or issues that require certain steps to occur.
Agreed that this is a superb product. The only issue I had was due to the width of the genuine Apple MagSafe pucks I purchased for it. They slightly interfere with each other and don’t go in straight to the power adapter. I’ll probably need to sand them down slightly so that they don’t stress...
That's a really good point and reminded me that not long after I got my T, I came home from a drive around town and just for kicks, felt the front rotor. It wasn't hot, it wasn't warm, it was COLD.
I find it hard to believe that corrosion would cause millimeters of brake pad to evaporate in a year's time.
The hydraulic brakes have to be in more use than we think they are even when we hardly ever touch the brake pedal....
