Correct. If all you want to do is use a USB-C port for device charging, then any of them will work.
This thread is mainly about nice ways to add a USB drive for the dashcam functionality, in which case only the center console ports will work.
I think you're right. After a long drive last week in which my phone was on the charging pad the entire time, I was surprised to see the battery at 70% instead of the expected 100%.
The phone (iPhone 12 Pro) indicates that it is charging, but it looks like the power being transmitted is...
Mine does this and it annoys me because it's wasting power trying to cool the battery when I'm not intending to drive the truck. I have mine setup to not unlock the doors, etc. when I'm home and it detects the phone or fob nearby. That part works fine in that it doesn't unlock, but it does...
I bought this exact same cable intending to use it to allow the use of two MagSafe charging pucks AND a USB-C flash drive in the center console. Doesn't work. This does: Charging splitter cable on Amazon. I plugged the MagSafe pucks into the two connectors marked with the USB symbol (the...
Yup, that was it. No idea how it ended up on the ground but did note that it doesn't snap on very firmly and will probably fall off again. I'll probably end up putting a dab of RTV in there to hold it better but still allow it to be easily removed.
I found this lying in the bark dust next to the driveway where my R1T is parked. Anyone know what this is?
I took a quick look under the truck and couldn't find any holes that it looked like it would cover.
Thanks.
Brian
Yeah, I see a lot of spare tire covers that would work, but buying 4 or 5 of them seems like a waste of money to me when storage covers are typically $50-$60 for 4.
I realize it may seem kinda funny for me to balk at spending $120 for 4 spare tire covers compared to what I spent on the Rivian...
I use covers like these for my track tires for my car when storing them for the winter: Tire Covers on Amazon
I'm having a hard time finding similar covers for 34" tires for my R1T's 20" AT wheels+tires. I searched Amazon and eBay to no avail.
Any suggestions? These are for storing the...
Ah, interesting. Mine was high when delivered so I assumed that was the default.
Checking the Owner's Manual, you are absolutely correct since it says that the default is Standard for all modes except for Snow and Soft Sand.
Uh, you'll need to provide more explanation of this statement.
I haven't done any testing of high vs standard regen and efficiency. I figured Rivian defaults to high regen since it's the most efficient and would help avoid complaints about not meeting range expectations. Why would they not...
I received mine a couple of days ago and it didn't suffer from the "hand fitted" corners. All three sections slid into the rails smoothly. It did get a light rain on it and checking that afternoon, the bed was completely dry so the seals seem to work. More rain is expected the remainder of...
If you're after efficiency, then high regen and a smooth driving style that avoids the friction brakes is required.
Even so, as others have said, this isn't a very efficient vehicle.
Your experience pretty much mirrors what I'm getting in everyday driving with my T.
I guess the difference is...
I agree with Thedude on the fine control that the current regen strategy provides and wouldn't want to see it change. Since I can drive my vehicle smoothly with one pedal, I value the efficiency of high regen.
I do agree with the OP on the jerkiness of just trying to reposition your foot on...
