  1. Rivians for Blue Origin

I was also watching this closely to see if this would be a "Rivian-only" astronaut pickup, but alas there was ICE involved. Rivians were the first 2 of 3 vehicles that arrived at the capsule. I guess we'll take what we can get :)
  2. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

Curious about this update in 2025.10 and if anyone has seen an improvement in VD from this?
  3. Windshield Wiper - Single Wipe

    Been there, wiped that 😊
  4. Charger door issues and windshield crack

How would you use these tire levers to open the charge port door? I'm always paranoid of the charge port door failing on me when I need it the most on a long trip.
  5. Gear Tunnel Door Creak AKA Dying Cow

Curious if this has worked for you longer term? I'm facing the same issue and would like my gear tunnel doors to sound like a haunted house only for the month of October, and silent rest of the year.
  6. This can’t be normal… Loud breaking free sound after truck sits stationary for a while… VIDEO

I've seen this from time to time and also put it in as a ticket on one of my last service appointments. SC said they didn't find anything unusual. I felt like it was as if the brakes get locked up or something, definitely not normal. However when it.occurs is quite random, and sometimes so.loud...
  7. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

Yep, our home's total usage (when our EVs aren't plugged in) actually is between 6 to 9 kWh a day on balmy 60-65 degree days when the HVAC rarely kicks in. We power two refrigerators, but no standalone freezers or fish tanks, and have 18 Tesla solar panels that more than cover the home plus one...
  8. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

True. Also I'm very peeved by the fact that the daily vampire drain in my case (around 3 kWh) is around half of what the rest of my entire house uses on an average day at 60 degree ambient temperatures.
  9. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

I wonder if the 36 Watts from BT (12v times 3 amps) is enough to power proximity lock/unlock. The drain numbers I've quoted are without GG and without proximity (not even "Lock Only" at home), ie proximity based lock/unlock fully turned off. That's when I see 3-4 mile loss without BT and 0-1...
  10. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

Hmm, that's significant drain despite the BT IMO. I see 3-4 mile loss overnight without BT and 0-1 with BT. Can you confirm if you have gear guard and proximity lock/unlock completely turned off? Also what's your typical drain without BT during a similar period?
  11. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

Not sure I understood what you meant by "rest left corner", can you help elaborate a bit more? Any pictures may be helpful, as there are likely more folks here who'd like to know how tell dual vs single 12V.
  12. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

Yes, AGM as others have also noted. I just run mine through a slightly cracked open window, when garaged. Good luck over your 10 day trip, I'm curious for your results. BTW do you know whether you have dual 12V batteries or a single battery?
  13. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

ICE vehicle owners have used battery maintainers via OBD for quite a while. I'm simply hoping that architecture isn't all that different for EVs using 12V systems.
  14. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

Good question indeed, and I was wondering the same since I have a dual 12V. My reasoning so far has been that given that charging via the OBD route is basically nearly fully arresting the vehicle wake ups, I imagine much of the drain was going out of the primary battery. If the secondary battery...
  15. Gear Tunnel Confessionals

The GT is long, and items slide left to right, but it is useful storage nonetheless, and definitely helps a lot during road trips. Also GT doors are a great place to sit and put on or take off ski boots. Could it have been done better, of course, but the idea surely has merit IMO.
  16. Would there be any issues keeping Ride Height at "Low" full time, while in AP

One feature request I'd have for Rivian is to allow an option to begin entering kneel mode once a specific garage door is opened. That should give it sufficient time to finish the kneel while one pulls into the garage. Another option they could also provide is to begin the kneel once you begin...
  17. R1T $7500 Tax Return with binding purchase agreement/2022 Amended Tax Return

Happy to see a string of recent successes! Keep at it all, there's hope (and more importantly the law) on your side!
  18. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

Curious if anyone has tried something like the below? https://a.co/d/dEbUwE0
  19. Vampire Drain Fix: How to solve in under a minute (indoor or outdoor)

Thanks! Does it come with a case? Thinking whether it would rattle in the hitch otherwise. Also, do you use a lock or safe that fits in the hitch receiver?
