My local sheriff dept posted on FB about not putting lights on cars and got absolutely roasted about focusing on that not:
A. how bright their own emergency lights are
B. cars without working headlights
C. Meth
Happy Holidays Everyone! :like:
Hey Warren, Thanks for doing this install. I'm thinking of doing the same on mine but wanted to clarify how the buttons work, it looks like they are hidden under the rail. Do you have just enough space to squeeze a finger under there?
Still happy with the set up?
Cybertruck laugh of last night:
Caught up to one on a dark road heading home, realized what it was once I got close enough for my headlights to highlight the oil canning on the tailgate. It was seriously bad and had a good chuckle for about 5 miles.
And by chuckle I mean post-covid coughing fit.
My ramps came with straps to link back to the hitch so they don't kick out from the tailgate in use. Wouldn't be needed on your container but a good safety feature for the truck.
My 2014 wagon accelerates as soon as you indicate a lane change, its way better than what Rivian has programmed right now. They'll catch up eventually ;)
Love my truck, but most of my complaints can be solved with a dumber version of whatever feature they are trying to perfect in the interim.
Feels like they are designed for Trunk or Treats and Halloween car shows.
Copying over the turn off after X programming from the outlets would be a nice solution for all
But also I'm 3 updates back or so right now so ?
Guys give Rivian Head a break. He's right, Elon was able to sell 1,000,000 trucks to just 30,000 people! That's amazing!
Or is it 30,000 trucks to 1,000,000 people...? Maybe they have to share. I don't know how Elon planned it but it's all going great and not a dumpster fire at all.
@Gorilla5
Not alone here, this button design drives me nuts.
Regarding opening the window, I love cracking both front and rear passenger windows about 1/2”, creates a not too bad highway wind noise with a pleasant breeze swirling in the back and out the front. Efficiency beats running the AC too.
Contrarian opinion here:
Yes I got used to it, but I still want to be able to turn it off and coast.
That said, it's worth living with it. love this Rivian just as much as day one 35k miles later.
Would you elaborate a bit on the live vs static load please?
Since you say not to walk on it is the live load considered when driving or when operating/ sliding out the rollers?
500lb distributed Live load = 18.3lb/SF
1500lb Static is 3 times that, so if locked in place you can put a 730lb...
