  1. DIY solution for storing Torx 20/25 just in case -- in trailer hitch

Curious to see your review. Right now it has one 1-star so nowhere to go but up!
  2. R1T - It was a good experiment but…

Looks like you had AT tires, my range boost after switching to 20" All Seasons was pretty remarkable. Can't help you with the bed size though. Happy motoring!
  3. What shoud l buy R1S, Hummer SUV or Gravity Update: R1S Tri motor ordered

I'll just pretend my last comment made all the difference even though it was a bit late. Congrats! We support that decision!
  4. What shoud l buy R1S, Hummer SUV or Gravity Update: R1S Tri motor ordered

Just buy the minivan. I still play the game "would a minivan do this?" with my R1T and the answer is normally yes (especially since you won't off-road it) Bonus, it'll fit everything when she's ready to go to college. But back on topic: I skipped 3 pages so surely someone pointed this out but...
  5. Does anyone else want Drive Mode pre-selection?

I'd support something like this. My complaint is simpler to fix which may cover some fraction of yours. When switching ride modes that could be in the same height but aren't currently you get an error message saying "cannot switch" due to speed. I'd like that error message to have an option to...
  6. Looking for Adapter for Tesla Charger - Will Buy, Rent or Borrow - Austin, TX

If they can't get the compass yellow color right in the logo I'm not sure I'd trust the adapter either. Sorry I don't have anything productive to say. Enjoy your trip!

Hope this was a fun event! Any pics?
  8. Cybertruck Laugh of the Day [⚠️ WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS BANNED]

Going back to this, aren't those wings usually designed with the cutout for visibility? Or is there an aero use for that too? Comical if only for visibility with the cover shut
  9. Cybertruck Laugh of the Day [⚠️ WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS BANNED]

What's going on with that tire poke??
  10. Cybertruck Laugh of the Day [⚠️ WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS BANNED]

I think running out of spray paint on the back was a nice unintended touch
  11. Gen 1 Vampire Drain (Possibly) Solved (or Hacked)

Well don't leave us hanging!! Which color solved the problem?? ?
  12. Electric Lawnmower

I vote for Greenworks 80v system. Have push mower, blower, saw, hedge trimmer, string trimmer. Had the chainsaw replaced under warranty after a couple years of hard use but still love it. Use the 40v greenworks at my office, not as powerful but mower, string trimmer, and edger all still work...
  13. Gen 1 Vampire Drain (Possibly) Solved (or Hacked)

Based on this thread alone it is clear there are a lot of differing reasons to reduce drain: Environmental, range, cost, etc. I'd love for Rivian to not just give up on Gen 1 drain but now that they have embraced they have a fundamental hardware issue with the whole vehicle waking up give us a...
  14. 2024.31.01

And all cases would avoid my usual situation: Drive happily on Auto. Get a call. Turn down Fan to hear. Hang up call minutes later. Nether region sweat 15 minutes later. Remember to turn Auto back on.
  15. 2024.31.01

No, I don't want the increased phantom drain and nothing else got me excited about this update. Though .31 adds three fan modes to the Auto HVAC so that may get me excited.
  16. 2024.31.01

@Dark-Fx don't despair, you have priority over me! I'm still shunning the last update notifications
  17. Cybertruck vs R1T - Decision Made

There is some argument to be made that the blind would bash the cybertruck less than others... but I won't get into that too much. Congrats on your selection, I hope the pros far outweigh the cons for you. For me the gear tunnel and shorter overall vehicle length are happy pros vs the con of...
  18. Gen 1 Vampire Drain (Possibly) Solved (or Hacked)

They once told me 10%. If they ever say something like that again I'm asking for that spec in writing on Rivian letterhead.
