  1. Ford Bronco Raptor - I don't need this but I WANT IT!

It’s a shame about those hideous fender flares. Ford could have done better…
  2. EA Electrify America Network is like a box of chocolates... 2000 mile trip report

8 of 19 chargers worked properly?! - EIGHT OF NINETEEN - Solid 42% success rate right there. I can only hope this improves by the time I get my R1T...
  3. Efficiency Showdown: Ford F-150 Lightning vs Rivian R1T- Out of Spec Reviews

Rivian is slightly more efficient, both indicated numbers and via charging confirmation. Ford took in 30.164 kwh Rivian took in 28.77 kwh and charged 5 min faster
  4. ? Part 2 Comparison: My F-150 Lightning vs Rivian R1T -- Driver+ vs. BlueCruise, Ford Sync4 vs Rivian Infotainment, Audio Quality, Vehicle Size, Etc

Hmmm I just checked it out - they got 260 miles with the Platinum trim 22" wheels. EPA hwy mileage is roughly that, with a 300 combined rating. Still notably worse than the R1T on 20" ATs though.
  5. New proposed Federal rules on building EV charging stations (to obtain federal subsidies)

I for one am glad to se SOME action on the topic. I won't lie that I am not concerned about road tripping the R1T - I am. Meanwhile I fear no distance in my Tesla...
  6. Rivian R1T electric truck 'way underpriced,' but room to improve (says Sandy Munro)

Assume it's worst case, Dual Motor Explore for $67,500. It's still a 4WD Air Suspended crew pickup with 600 electric horsepower, 250+range, and a premium interior. I struggle to name another 500+ horsepower truck/suv for under $70k. Would that spec be worth $100k? Maybe. Would the Launch Edition...
  7. Rivian R2: Everything We Know About Rivian's Next All-New EV [by Motortrend]

We know mid sized SUVs are the hot item right now. Just look at the Model Y - which outsells the Model 3 while being more expensive and practically the same car. Would love to see a small Truck and SUV with off-road chops. Like a bigger Maverick and Bronco Sport. Then becomes the question of how...
  8. UPDATED 6/2 - Delivery day (Hello!) and Return day (Goodbye) ... argh! "Ride height change not possible due to overheated air compressor"

I'm surprised the designers allow the tires to rub in this failure mode. I've heard that other marques also have this issue when air suspension fails. In my mind it should have a fixed compressed length that doesn't cause contact, that way you could still drive it (even without spring comfort).
  9. F-150 Lightning very technical review

Great in depth review! Thanks! Things of note: - Traction management is poor (wheel slip and torque steer) - Off road angles and ground clearance are pitiful - That front end...looks bad Still a great option for those looking for a normal full size pickup that is efficient. It's just so far...
  10. RIVIAN STOCK

Surprised to see pre market climbing further with news of recall yesterday. I expected a sharp backlash.
  11. NC Rivian Fan’s, The Time to Act is NOW!

    I emailed them also.
  12. Kyle from Out of Spec Drives The Lightning

AGREE 1000% I thought the Lightning front end looked cool until I saw it on video. That translucent white light bar is hideous and cheap looking, not to mention the grill. And people complain about the Rivian front end...
  13. The MPG Illusion (why we should maybe advocate for kwh/mi)

    ...So you multiply your % remaining, times vehicle 'tank' size, then divide by energy/mile to get estimated range? Example: 20 mpg (5 gal/100mi) half tank (20 gallon total) 1. 0.5 x 20 gal = 10 gal, 10 / 5 = 2, 2 x 100 = 200 miles range 2. 0.5 x 20 gal = 10 gal, 10 x 20 = 200 miles range If...
  14. Kyle from Out of Spec Drives The Lightning

Kyle describes the Lightning as "Floaty" and "Undersprung" but also "Just as it should be" for a f150. Rivian likely runs higher effective spring rates and their wheel/tire combos are more aggressive, which will ride firmer. Still all R1T reviews so far glow about the ride/handling.
  15. Turning off R1T charging status lights ?

This thread didn't disappoint, came here for this camping concern. Anyone get luck on a stealth mode yet? (Referring to the glow coming from the port area itself)
